Rubio addresses tea party criticism on Senate floor [VIDEO]

Sen. Marco Rubio took to the floor of the U.S. Senate Wednesday afternoon, to address concerns that have arisen from some grassroots conservatives over his support of immigration reform.

“I have received numerous emails and calls from conservatives and tea party activists,” he said at the beginning of his remarks.

“To hear the worry, anxiety, and growing anger in the voices of so many people who helped me get elected to the Senate, who I agree with on virtually every other issue, has been a real trial for me,” he confessed.

But he said he told them that he would go to Washington to “fight to stop what is bad for America,” and that what we have now is, in fact, hurting America. ”I simply wasn’t going to leave it to Democrats alone to try to figure out how to fix it.”

“I got involved because I knew that if conservatives didn’t get involved in shaping this legislation, it would not have any border security reforms our nation desperately needs,” Rubio said....

His DemocRAT pals played "the dumb half" (including Rubio) of the Eight Amigos like a cheap kazoo and they're too stupid to realize it. It's true. You can't fix stupid. When it comes to the fence and border security, all Butchie Napolitano has to say is "NO" and it's all over. Open borders. Rubio is an idiot.

Would "not have any border security," why then did you first vote down the resumption of building 700 miles of border fence - passing in 2006!!!!!!

You lying bastard -go back home and leave us in the mess you've created!

All of your deep pocketed funders may have promised you the top of the ticket in 2016 but they can't make those of us that you've betrayed vote for YOU!

One day Rubio will wake up and realize that he's working with and for Chuck Schumer to implement the reprobate Teddy Kennedy's dream of a permanent national Democrat majority just as they have created in California.

What a waste, Rubio could have been a great one.

Rubio should just go ahead and switch to the Dem party since he seems to be one of their poster children anyway.

We all know by now that he isn’t a conservative, although he pretended to be one long enough to get elected.

One thing for sure, Marco Rubio is no Ted Cruz!

My reply to Rubio, “shut up, punk.”

I will never vote for him on any ticket. Not only is it bad legislation that adds to our debt, he forced it down the throat without allowing others to read what was in it. He ‘s a punk for doing that and he’s an intellectual light-weight.

He kept saying “not true...that’s not in there...it doesn’t do that”. So. Is it posted where we can read it?

My understanding is that it waives Obamacare for these “new legals”, so employers will have an incentive to ditch their current work force to save $3,000/yr per employee....

...and that it pardons a number of misdemeanor crimes, that have penalties of one to five years for us “old legals”....

I’d like to see for myself. Is it posted? Or are they gonna pull another “you can read it after we vote it in” on us?

Marco I had some faith in you but it is all lost now. Fold on illegal aliens today and you will fold on other issues that concern me in the future. Sad that you are just another politician.....

We don’t have an illegal alien problem. /sarc The Legislature and the Executive branch eliminated this problem by law in 1986. Promises made then to enact this legislation guaranteed that the problem would be solved forever, that there would never again be an ILLEGAL alien problem.
We trusted them then, and how has that worked out?
No legislation should be considered until the border with Mexico is secured.

Rubio has no face, and no cred with conservatives.

A two-faced Hispanic traitor first, “American” second, Constitutionalist last.

I never bought his act - mama’s boy, light-in-the-loafers, understanding nothing of America’s greatness, except as he could sell it to the highest bidder for connections to fellow traitors and lawless Hispanics from corrupt cultures.

I wouldn’t waste my spit on him, and I’ve already wasted more precious time and words than he deserves. I pray his name and face never soil my consciousness again.

Yup, I believe this is what Walmart plans on doing! I also keep hearing them say that the illegals won’t be getting obamacare, ok, what is going to happen when the illegals get sick and go to the emergency room or they want a free abortion? Are they going to be denied healthcare and Obama lovin abortions? NO, they will CONTINUE to receive “taxpayer” subsidized (no cost to them) free healthcare! They will truly be free from all of Obama’s bullchit....unlike the honest, taxpaying Americans.

Here is my letter to Senator Rubio:

“Dear Senator Rubio,

Please vote NAY on S.744.

S.744, IMHO, is the most evil, anti-American piece of legislation the US Senate could possibly consider at this point in US history. It will not only ruin America, it will mean the end of the Republican Party.

I mean, give me a break! The country is going to Hell in a handbasket; the economy is in the tank; the IRS is corrupt and corrupting; the Benghazi scandal looms; the NSA is listening to our most private communications; SS and Medicare are going bankrupt; and Obamacare is about to trash what is left of our once-vaunted medical care system.

And you are spending valuable time and resources trying to appease a bunch of anti-American illegal aliens in a vain effort to “create” new Republican voters?

If you want to “create” Republican voters, focus on the 100,000,000 ++ otherwise eligible Americans who did not vote in 2012. You are shooting for roughly 40% of what, 30,000,000 Hispanics? By my calculus, 40,000,000 trumps 12,000,000; AND, there are certainly no guarantees that Republicans will ever get 40% of the Hispanic vote! 40% of the 2012 non-voters is a doable win-win for the country and the Republican Party.

I did not spend 28 1/2 years serving my country to see the likes of you and your terribly misguided colleagues transform the USA into a Third World Banana Republic!

For the sake of your country, your countrymen and women, and your conscience, I urge you, with all due respect, vote NAY on S.744.

Your constituents and your countrymen and women will hail you a hero if you have the intestinal fortitude to do so.

If you don’t vote NAY, you can kiss your political career goodbye!

Sincerely,

Frank L. Davis, Jr., MBA
Captain, USN (Ret)

The best laws money can buy! And the Walmarts, etc. will line up and support it with money, etc. just like the big insurance companies did with Obamacare.

Crony Capitalism.
