Earlier this year, Jeb Bush told ABC that both his father George H.W. Bush, and brother George W. recommended he run for president in 2016. Mama Barbara Bush is not keen on the idea, declaring in April that “the nation’s probably had enough Bushes.”
But in the constantly shifting equations of potential Republican hopefuls for future president and vice president, the former Florida governor’s name has been tied with another former governor: Sarah Palin.
The pair have now been framed as a “the GOP’s only chance” in the race by American Thinker contributor Michael Sheppard.

Should Hillary Clinton emerge as the Democratic candidate, it could also improve Mr. Bush’s “electability”. Then there is the Palin factor, Mr. Sheppard says. She brings ardent fans with her, of course.
“A Jeb Bush/president – Sarah Palin/vice-president ticket covers all the Electoral College, Evangelical, pro-life, centrist-conservative, experienced governorships, male/female bases,” he notes.

Mr. Sheppard continues, “Palin is not the media neophyte she was in 2008, and never again would be the subject of the astonishing MSM/Blogosphere hate and ambush that she was then. A Bush/Palin team would be a candidacy of ideas, from experienced campaigners, which would have to be addressed by the opposition media and Dem’s without the distraction of lurid media ‘scandals’.”
He ultimately concludes, “The Palin/Bush pairing would see the rifts in the GOP healed over, a united team with massive resources in finance, manpower and credibility.....

The reason Sarah Palin wouldn't be a VP candidate in 2016 is the same reason she wouldn't have been a VP candidate in 2012: not taking the second slot in a second national election.
I'd also like to think Sarah is smart enough not to hitch her wagon to another moderate Republican loser, which is course is what the GOP-E would love to see happen.
I love Sarah Palin but I would not vote for that ticket. It's the top of the ticket that matters, not the second spot.

I won't be voting for another Bush even with Sarah as VP. I'll stay at home if all we get as choices are moderates. I don't HAVE to vote and from now on I vote my conscience, not the given choices.

This is not good. I mean for sure Obama has been the worst of the lot, but there are 300 million people in this country, we have to be able to find someone other than Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton to run and be elected president.
No way. The only way Jeb gets my reluctant vote is as the number two man on the ticket. Put Palin in the lead slot and yeah, that’ll fly. Then the campaign needs to tell him to STFU, and let Sarah come out full throttle, pull no punches. Have her tell it like it is, what 8 years of the worst liberal, socialist-fascist policies have done to us and our freedoms. Don’t try to sugar coat it, this is not going to be a feel good campaign. She should give us hope, but be starkly realistic about what she is starting with.
Palin ran for vice-president once. Suggesting that she fill that same slot again is saying she is not presidential material. I don’t think she would agree with that.

If the Republican Party plans to run Jeb Bush then it deliberately plans to lose the election. Bush will attract zero Democrats and independents from a ticket headed by Hillary, Biden, Cuomo, or any conceivable Democrat. The conservative Republican base will not be enthusiastic about another Bush, no matter who they pair him with. The media will have a field day supporting Democrat talking points about the country not needing a third failed Bush presidency.
No political dynasties, no Bushes, no RINOs.
