A great interview with Governor Sarah Palin on a Tuesday afternoon.
Sounding very much like George Washington, the rather reluctant leader, Governor Palin ends the interview with a bold statement about leading the party.
Ronald Reagan was a democrat for most of his adult life. He famously said that he didnt leave the democrat party, the democrat party left him.
Governor Palin is saying what the rest of us are thinking. Wed MUCH rather revitalize the Republican Party than go in another direction, but . and what else can be said but . we havent left the GOP, the GOP has left all of us!
This is a long interview. Governor Palin talks about how the Republican Party has failed. She talks about starting a third party vs revitalizing the GOP. She also tells Sean that we must get new blood in the government, and save America.
Governor Palin also gives a VERY interesting answer to the question if she WOULD consider running for the United States Senate out of Alaska. This is the kind of answer a true leader, who cares about her nation, would give. Vintage Sarah Palin too!
All of this, and much, much more:

Breaking?
Ted Cruz said he would not have been elected without Palin, Levin and Hannity. That was on the show too.
lol....

Yeah, well we's already got's da' gubmnt we deserve.
Could be worse - could be SHOCK STATEMENT
The Senate is a terrible option for her. She cannot foist her views into that chamber with anywhere near the success she can by endorsing who she wants to see run for office. She’d actually lose that endorsement power only because she’d not be the political powerhouse there that she is now. In the Senate she’d be one of 100. And if her party is in the minority she would have an even less effective podium to launch from. I have no idea why she would even consider it. It would make her less effective, not more effective.
Go to the source: It’s the author who put it in the headline, not your humble thread poster.
No slam of poster intended.
Not gonna happen, we’ve crossed the tipping point.
Not gonna happen, weve crossed the tipping point.
That’s right. It’s all gone too far. It can’t even be slowed down much now.
Just like LBJ, Truman, John Calhoun, Henry Clay or Hubert Humphrey?
It is good form to post headlines verbatim - even asinine headline. I salute you.
“...the rather reluctant leader...”
So reluctant in fact, she quit her job halfway through.
Remember “Reinventing Government” was Algore’s particular job.
Can’t always do that, many people go on and on and on...
Sure it can. It’s called DE-FUNDING.
Defunding is real, ask DOD civilians.
Defund the right depts, make them sell THEIR houses and deplete THEIR savings, move in with THEIR parents.
Starve the beast with the power of the purse of the House of Representatives.
Feel free to attack me with your "if you don't support the GOP, then you are supporting the Dims". I no longer care what you or the GOP thinks. Let them sink as they are already doing by their own accord. Think McGramsey.
I'm now an Independent. Too bad for you as you hang on to a losing team who unsuccessfully try to pander to a race. The GOP will NEVER succeed in those attempts to buy votes - the Dems have it locked up. Wise up!
Best hope is for a major screw up by the dems, but that would only delay the inevitable.
Don’t forget the rest of the story there.
Ya know the constant attacks, the baseless lawsuits, the 500,000 in debt, the threats against her children, and so on.
She then dropped out....go away Sarah. You had your chance.
Headline writing is a lost art. The last talented headline writer was laid off 15 years ago. Now it seems they assign the task to the stupidest person on the staff.
Gee, that must have been rough. I guess if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
OK everyone, go to the link and listen to what Sarah Palin has to say with Sean Hannity.
Particularly how she is talking about how Cruz, and a handful of others currently are the rebels in the GOP.
She makes the point they should BE THE GOP. That the GOP is so far off kilter right now.
Palin and Sean have a great interview here.
Highly recommended.
The GOP will NEVER succeed in those attempts to buy votes - the Dems have it locked up.
The Republican party has left me no choice but to concur with you, A Navy Vet. It's degenerated into the other face of the Big Government party.
I would like to draw attention to something I heard Sean Hannity say during this interview.
It was rare. and hugely important.
Sean mentions what a lot of American are thinking. That America seems to need to get back our manufacturing, and everything which we need.
He is 100% correct. And nobody is saying that. Not the GOP, not the dems. Nobody.
Sean keep on saying that. My compliments.
Congratulations to Ms. Palin, and it is good she is back at Fox News.
Not to mention the millions all the lawsuits would have cost Alaska.
There are a few voices who speak for me, very few. Sarah is one.
Totally agree.
Palin hasn't quit anything. She's been doing the same job she began as a city councilwoman, fighting the corrupt system. Your comment is more fitting for a liberal site.
That’s a beautiful image...pink slips for parasites.
We need a third party. Not Libertarian, Tea Party, or whatever. It is time for a new strong brand.
I now there is a Constitution Party. Maybe, we flood it in mass with people desperate for doing what is right. Set up a platform that kicks out or doesn’t allow people who are lefties that just want to be elected by using the name (aka, RINOs) and lets get this country back on the right path.
Hell, maybe, we nee to just break off a few states and do it the right way. As much as I love a lot about New York, California and Chicago, there is too much that is just damaging to our liberty. We reluctantly need to let them go.
I wish there was a 20 second edit link on FR. I know there is a preview, but dang, I click I have previewed, then mess up so often...
The Senate is a terrible option for her. She cannot foist her views into that chamber with anywhere near the success she can by endorsing who she wants to see run for office. Shed actually lose that endorsement power only because shed not be the political powerhouse there that she is now. In the Senate shed be one of 100. And if her party is in the minority she would have an even less effective podium to launch from. I have no idea why she would even consider it. It would make her less effective, not more effective. My biggest fear under that scenario would be that the Establishment in both parties would work together to target and isolate her.
It's hard to be effective when your taking fire from all sides.
It actually makes you feel sick at your stomach, doesn't it? I spent 11 years in the military (mostly on a flight deck) in the hope that I would defend not only my family and fellow Americans, but the concept of this country against Soviet aggression. I now believe that time has been betrayed by the Repubs, Dems, Socialists, Communists, and the average low information voter.
Oh, forgot the 10's of millions on EBT cards who wouldn't know their ass from the proverbial hole in the ground. Still, they can buy the toilet paper with their EBT's. I would actually contribute money to send those air-conditioned, multi-TV, multi-car, free Obama phones, et al, parasites to a third world country so they have to crap into a hole like I did in the Philippines. They no longer have any concept of real poverty.
I beginning to hate many Americans. They voted Obambi, the totalitarian, twice into office because he promised and gave them stuff on the back of hard-working citizens. I'm so fed up, I cry for my beloved American dream that our Founding Fathers died and bled for.
Trollin’, trollin’, trollin’...
(rolling eyes)
Lots of tax payers voted for obama. And I’ll never understand it. See my tag line.
Ms. Palin? She's a Christian Conservative not a leftist. Her name is Mrs. Palin. And real Americans hope that she'll be known as President Palin.
Certainly that was just a typo, wasn't it?

Sarah is the leader we need.
But not the one we deserve.
BUMP!
Are you still ignorant of the reasons for her resignation? Apparently, you are.
As disappointed as many of us were that she didn’t run in 2012, I think she made the right decision. Everything was stacked against a GOP win for the presidency. I have to respect her prayerful decision and watch what she does next. Another loss for her would have been the total end of her career.
Yup.
Caught myself spelling it this way, and realized I prefer it.
It takes real skill. Had an editor once (a fabulous headline writer) who titled my pan review of "The Last Tempttion of Christ" with this header:
Savior Money
Another story about what a rip-off the Schick-Shadel $14,000, two-week clinics for cocaine and alcohol addiction were, he titled:
Full of Schick
He was a genius! {^)
The scary/disheartening thing for me is that, as much of an eff-up the current resident has been,I still bet that the deck is stacked against us in the electoral college. The Dims’ criminals have rigged enough states’ votes and fooled enough dumb - err.., “low information” - voters to the point where the GOP candidate has to walk such a fine line to 269 that it’s looking downright gloomy. The nominee would have to essentially pick one heck of a lock.
And then, even if the GOP candidate were to pull-off such a stunt, what kind of nauseating gem of a nominee would be nominated by the GOPe?
If Palin bolts, she’s going to take a big chunk of us with her. And as far as I’m concerned, the loss resulting from splitting the vote wouldn’t be very great, and at the very least they’d learn a painful, eye-catching lesson about blowing-off their source of passion, their base.
America was doing just fine until over-reaching government in the form of environmental regulation, environmental restrictions, labor and wage laws, unionism, anti-discrimination laws that require ridiculous, expensive jumping through hoops, shackling tax laws, and who knows what else from the thousands of government agencies that exert gentle and iron tyranny "for our own good," made it a losing proposition to manufacture in the USA.
Just saying that American needs to get back manufacturing is standard operating procedure. Big deal. Freedom-loving Americans calling out government tyranny as the cause is a whole 'nother talk show.
Yes, and that they are allowed to vote, is an aberration of justice and flat out wrong. I want a political party that will make that part of its platform. I'd love a political party that sought an America where the average good citizen who wants to vote has to take a little iniative and go to a little trouble to register, and to get to the polls on election day. Get rid of Moter Voter and registering voters en masse outside the grocery store, and no damned ballots in any language but English. ELECTION OUTCOMES WOULD BE PROFOUNDLY DIFFERENT and America would be much more prosperous.
