A new political action committee is hoping to convince former Speaker of the House and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich to run for the U.S. Senate in Virginia next year.
Draft Newt PAC insists Gingrich, now a host of CNN’s Crossfire, is Republicans’ best hope for retaking the Senate seat currently held by Sen. Mark Warner (D., Va.), who is vying for his second term.

Newt would be great in the Senate. He knows how the procedural stuff works and you have to know that to get stuff done. He’s already run out his chance for Prez. I voted for him in the GA primary last year but in 2016 the young guns like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are going to be duking it out for the GOP nomination.

He would make such a damn good president. Team him with Perry and maybe the damn repubs would get off their arses and vote.
He would be a far cry better than ANY Democrat. And he does know his way around.
I’d like to see him as president, but that’s not likely. However, I’d think he might have a good shot at getting to the Senate. I hope he runs.
Just what we need: another RINO.
Crossfire won’t make it through the first season.
