What Wendy Davis needs to do
The Washington Post's The Fix ^ | September 18, 2013 | Juliet Eilperin

As Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis (D) inches right up to the edge of declaring her intention to run for governor, both she and her supporters know she needs two things to have a serious shot at the post: tens of millions of dollars, and broad policy platform that transcends the issue of abortion.

When she sent an e-mail to her supporters Wednesday morning, Davis — who garnered national attention this summer for fighting a sweeping antiabortion bill in her state — wrote she will be “answering the question” of what’s next for her career on Oct. 3. But before making her formal announcement, she posed a question of her own: “Do you have any friends or family who would like to be among the first to know?”

In other words, Davis is working to develop a national fundraising network before formally launching her bid. Davis has raised money in Washington, D.C. as well as her home state, and according to Texas state records had received just over $1 million by the end of June. That puts her far behind Republican Attorney General Greg Abbott, who is eyeing the post and has amassed a $20 million war chest.....

ABORTION BARBIE. I have discovered that these two words enrage liberals. Use them.

You think she would be a strong candidate?

She will get politically annihilated. They don’t like killing babies in Texas.

I actually want her to run.

She needs to get beaten badly enough that she goes away.

Unlike the perennial goof-ball candidate Kinky Friedman Wendy Davis is an evil, jack-booted, baby-killing, anti-intellectual, anti-education, anti-family leftist. She is honest about what she is and and she needs to be beaten in a statewide election so badly that she is not used as a consultant by vacuous reporters that want to appear impartial.

Also if she runs and if she gets the demonratic nomination then the demonrats cannot position themselves as moderates

It will be amazing to watch the leftist media beating up on the cripple in the wheelchair over their favorite special issue.

Usually, the lib media will overreach for the sympathy factor but not here. They’ll do their best to demonize Abbott.

Run Wendy Run!

She’s destined to lose and will bleed cash from close races elsewhere.

Was really disappointed when Ashley Judd packed it in in Kentucky.

Just what the Democrats in Texas deserve: a baby-murdering skank who is a disgrace to decent Texas women.

Not quite. The "news" media, being total Leftists like Wendy, gave her wall-to-wall positive coverage. They made her a "star" (to them). Without the "news" media, few people outside of Austin would have heard about her.

Texas will be a blue state by the end of the decade. With their proximity to socialist mexico, the high population centers and border counties being firmly in the socialist-democrats’ hands, and the cheap mexican labor exploitation branch of the GOP in control, I would say that texas is set to be absorbed into mexico.

Don't believe me? How many mexicans are currently residing in texas? And NONE of them owe any allegiance to you, gringo. They want what you have, and they will take it.

I think that all viable female leftist candidates will be very dangerous for the forseeable future, for several reasons. One, the Hillary coattail factor. Two, pro-abortion voters. Three, suburban housewife voters. Four, single woman voters.

What Wendy needs is a Penthouse photo shoot.

Her career will either take off...or not. Bill Clinton is hanging on this decision with bacon breath.

Agreed. I hope the media plays up her chances big time, so that donors in TX and nationwide pour money down a hole supporting her. That’ll mean less money spent elsewhere on candidates that can actually win.

She claims to have very large balls. Not really that unusual for the women in Austin.

You beat me to it, Mamzelle. I hope she collects millions upon millions of dollars in contributions, every one of which will be squandered.

Tell me about it. They’re all over the place. They drive like maniacs, don’t give a shit about anything, cut you off and stare at you like they’re gonna shoot you.

Guess it’s time to bite the bullet and get that CCL.

NO! But it would warm my heart to see the Dimwits dump a whole bunch of money into the race.

I hope you are wrong. It may turn Blue, but Red Texans will fight to the end. I am already hearing pro-Republican radio ads on talk radio, so they’re not ignoring the possibility of change. We’ll see how it turns out...

Political parties are not going to save Texas. The only way to save Texas, and all of the other border states, is to put US sovereignty first, and everybody else, last. But that won’t happen, as long as there’s cheap, plentiful, and easily exploitable labor to utilize from the south.

What Wendy Davis needs to do

Sit down and shut up. Go away. Get lost. Disappear from public life.

That is what she needs to do.
