Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski told fellow panelists Monday she thought that Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) and Republicans like him don’t love the country because of their battles to defund Obamacare that she believes led to the government shutdown, drawing the ire of host Joe Scarborough.
“That shows just how much they hate him and don’t love the country, and that’s what’s scary about this,” she said. “If they actually go through with this, this is about something else.”
“Are you saying they don’t love the country?” Scarborough asked.
“Are you saying they do? Ted Cruz and his group loves the country?” she replied. “We disagree.”
“I have never once suggested that even the craziest left-wing lunatic didn’t love their country,” Scarborough said....

A person had only to listen to what Ted Cruz said in those 21 hours, to understand that he loves the American people and the Constitution which has allowed us to prosper all those many years before Obama took over and fundamentally transformed everything. His plea was to “make DC listen”.
But Mika and all the other crappers wouldn’t even listen to ted, much less to the American people. And she’s projecting her own hatred onto Cruz, just like Obama projected his own attention-seeking narcissism onto Cruz.
She obviously confuses “our country” with “our overreaching overspending government”.
Ask the libs this. Will your income tax go down because the government isn’t working? Will the cost of anything from the government go down because the government isn’t working?
No, so this isn’t really a shutdown. It’s just a postponement. You’ll still have to pay everything you would have paid if the government had stayed open and the people being furloughed are going to get back pay in 95% of the cases. Some even who are still working will be making overtime for providing essential services while others are furloughed.
All we’re postponing is what services are available and when some people are getting paid. That’s the American version of “government shutdown” and it really is no crisis. Now, in many other countries, a government shutdown would mean an entirely different thing.

If you LOVE this country, you would be urging resistance to incremental Socialism and Marxist redistribution that is sending this nation over the brink of bankruptcy and burdening the next generations with financial debt they can NEVER pay off (effectively becoming wage slaves to the State).

Major foreign policy events during his term of office included the normalization of relations with the People's Republic of China (and the severing of ties with the Republic of China) (nothing like stabbing a friend in the back); the signing of the second Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty (SALT II); the brokering of the Camp David Accords; the transition of Iran from an important U.S. client state to an anti-Western Islamic Republic(huge political failure that led the way on de-stabilizing the region) , encouraging dissidents in Eastern Europe and emphasizing human rights in order to undermine the influence of the Soviet Union (did nothing but talk ; the financing of the mujahideen (predecessor to Taliban who we are still fighting) so China could move into the void).
One America is under control of the Hope and Change mob that should have had the intellectual honesty to run as Marxists.
The other America has some semblance of the Founding Fathers and those who are likeminded, who corrected the injustice of slavery, repaired freedoms, and fought tyranny. It is this same group that wants to maintain freedoms and keep government intrusion in check.

This is old-European at its tragic worst. The leftists equate America with Obama—she states it unambiguously. Hitler required Germans to swear an oath to him. Hitler was Germany and Germany would live or die with him (it died). This is a belief that is not compatible with American government or culture. A Constitutional Republic is the American system, not an allegiance to a person. This is the left divorcing itself from America—and, it is not acceptable or compatible with the American system.
