You seem to have a mental block.
No, "I" don't think that is a description of conservatism.
However, it is what the vast majority of casual democrats, liberals and certainly Millennials think.
I'm talking about winning elections.
I'm talking about a party that will begin to move those social issues back into the hands of the states.
Conservatives and Republicans have been defined by the media and the Democrat party. That definition is not going to change no matter how charismatic or dynamic a particular conservative candidate happens to be.
When you consider virtually every issue conservatives and liberals disagree on, the content of the conservative message or position is rarely explored.
Conservatives lose because we have been labeled as such.
It's not the message, it's the messenger.
BTW, you need to stop trying to define me as "pro-abortion, gay-marriage etc., nothing could be further from the truth.
Except for the part that is you arguing for them, you want conservatives to quit fighting those positions of the left/libertarians.
The federal government needs to make laws on abortion and gay marriage and homosexual issues for employment, military service and immigration, and marriage that is legal in one state becomes recognized in another, just as abortion in one state leaves a dead person regardless of where it is.
We are arguing about abortion and the gay agenda, conservatives are against it, and you want that to stop.
