Next Tuesday Virginians will elect a new governor. The choices could hardly be more stark. Ken Cuccinelli is the pro-life Attorney General; Terry McAuliffe is a pro-abortion Democratic operative with close ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton.
The major newspapers loathe Cuccinelli and have clobbered him hammer and tong. Negative advertising by the McAuliffe camp and his pro-abortion allies (such as Planned Parenthoods political arm) has washed over the airwaves in Northern Virginia where my family lives.
But with just a handful of days to go, Cuccinelli received his first good news in a long while.
The respected Quinnipiac University Poll finds Democrat Terry McAuliffe clinging to a slight 45-41 percent likely voter lead over Republican State Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, and 9 percent for Libertarian Party candidate Robert Sarvis. While these are much different results than recent polls have found, its some of Quinnipiacs internals that offer reason for hope.
For example, while there are only 4% of likely voters who say they are undecided, another 7% of those who picked a candidate say theres a good chance they will change their mind before November 5.
As Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said, State Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli is nipping at Terry McAuliffes heels as the race to be Virginias next governor enters the final week of the campaign. And, of course, It goes without saying that turnout is the key to this race and the harshly negative tone of the campaign is the kind that often turns off voters.
If the race is as close as the Quinnipiac University Poll says it is, then the key is the Libertarian Party candidate Robert Sarvis. Typically, support for third party candidates wanes the closer it comes to Election Day.
So while Almost nine in 10 McAuliffe and Cuccinelli backers are committed, we learn that Only six in 10 Sarvis supporters say they definitely will vote for him.
There is also the composition of Sarviss supporters. Here, too, Sarvis voters matter greatly since the libertarian is getting 16 percent of independents, but only 9 percent overall. Since McAuliffe is doing very well among Independents, it is vital that Cuccinelli pick up from the Independents who currently say they would vote for Sarvis.
The polls sample is very large and the margin of error quite small, according to Quinnipiac. 1,182 likely voters were surveyed between October 22 and October 28 with a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percentage points.
“What can we do to help him over the goal line?”
This might be too much to hope for, but if we could just get Obama to campaign for McAuliffe this weekend I think that would push Ken over the top.
Rick Scott was supposedly behind by 4 points on election day based on a QU bs poll paid for by the Orlando Slantinel .
He won by 1 point.
Now we know why all the Socialist scam are racing to VA .
Obamacare is killing them in the polls now !
Ken is polling ahead of Terry !
What has happened to the once great state of Virginia that they could even consider such a piece of garbage as McAuliffe?
Lloyd Marcus is campaigning for him!
Ditto for Scott Walker and Ron Paul.
We’ve been invaded.
McAwfull has ten times the funds that Cuch,, does So a contribution can’t hurt.. Mark Levin had him on his radio show and is a personal friend, Every supposedly Conservative talk show host in the country should be publicly standing up for Ken. It’d gonna be close.
Obongo is going to campaign for him this Sunday. :)
I heard Rubio too.
Repeal Universal Suffrage?
Clinton ,Bill said that McAwful would be better at working with republicans than his opponent would be at working with the Democrats. ??????????
Meeting behind closed doors, republicans can come along but ride in the back, ticket events, plant softball questions.
Yeah-— just like o,bama.
McAwfull has ten times the funds that Cuccinelli has——so start the avalanche of contributions to Ken....

Rand should get Dad Ron to tell Sarvis to throw his support to Ken. Sarvis has no chance of winning. Sarvis is only enabling Clinton/McAuliffe to run rampant over Va....now....and in 2016.
Wheeler-dealer McAuliffe is ogling the VA treasury ....and the conniving Clintons are having wet dreams about Terry fixing the Va vote for Hilly come 2016. VA voters who vote for McAuliffe are making a deal with three devils.
(Snicker) the "dearly departed" are also McAuliffe voters.
TERRY, THESE GHOULISH THING REMIND ME OF YOU McAuliffe is apparently polling well---and prolly receiving mucho campaign cash---from the "dearly departed" b/c a lawsuit Democrats filed says the [VA State Board of Elections] is rushing to complete the purging of dead voters in time to have the desired effect on the upcoming gubernatorial election.....to make sure that those who no longer live here dont vote here."
(cackle) The "dearly departed" are also Hillary voters. Terry is 2016 Hillary's place-keeper. If elected, grave-robber Terry will fix the vote---dead or alive---for Hilly. (That's after he rapes the VA state treasury.)
DEAD AND READY Another shady example of how the connected ex-DNC chair, Obama suck-up, and Clinton confidant, mixes business with politics to profit himself....with the dead and near-dead as his victims.
<><>McAuliffe apparently lied to VA voters---according to McAuliffe's campaign, he invested $33,000 in the notorious Caramadre death fund and received $80,000 in return, a $47,000 profit. However, documents submitted in Caramadre's trial by federal authorities indicated that McAuliffe's profit was actually $114,000, or $34,000 more than McAuliffe admitted to voters.
<><> According to official RI court records, McAuliffes connection to Caramadre came to light via court records linking McAuliffes investment directly with the terminally ill, ailing mechanic; official forms identified them as "acquaintances" (apparently a requirement to allow McAuliffe to cash in).
<><> When the irrefutable court records surfaced, McAuliffes campaign then said McA did not know the mechanic and doesnt know why they were listed as "acquaintances."
<><> NOTE: if official files were falsified to profit McAuliffe, that's a felony in any state.
I hear that.
Probably shiiite heads from Maryland
Yes, and all the blue states they ruined and deserted.
