If CC tries to run as a RINO, he'll find the media runs him hard and puts him away wet, just like any other Maverick.

CC will have to join the Party of 0bama to win.

But, can conservatives coalesce around Perry in the early stages to prevent Christie from walking into the nomination just as Romney did?

I hope so. Governor Perry is fantastic, Texas is the best economy in U.S., he tells people where to put it if that's what's needed, and he's everything I love, pro 2nd amendment, anti-amnesty, pro-business and the list goes on.

I know the gaffes took front seat last time but the rest of his debates were stellar. He never used the pain killers he was on due to his recent surgery as an excuse but there's no getting around their influence. Anyway, hope he gets a second chance.

Unless Ben Carson runs in which case I'll drop Perry like a hot potato. :-)

He promoted Dewhurst over Cruz. Therefore, his judgment is questionable.

Thanks for the response, gives me hope that the primaries will be more civil this year.

And I will look those up.

Perry is too liberal and not very intelligent to me. We have first strivers to chose from. We don’t need a bench sitter.

“Is a conservative in New Jersey a conservative in the rest of the country?” Perry said in an interview with “This Week.” “We’ll have that discussion at the appropriate time.”

THANK YOU, Governor Perry!!!!

NOW is NOT the appropriate time.

Yes. As in turning a willfully blind eye to illegal immigration while making some noises about border control?

LOL. Well put.

Remember: He brought “hate crimes” legislation to Texas after the tragic Byrd dragging death. He did not let that crisis go to waste. Very short-sighted of Perry.

“If you can’t win elections, you can’t govern,” Perry said. “So winning an election is really important.”

And people say the guy is dumb!

Anyone who can run a state (Perry, Palin, Dean, either Bush brother, Reagan, Carter, etc.) is not dumb, by definition.

Unless Ben Carson runs ...
***********************************
Carson would be great as Scty. of HHS. He, unlike the current inept Scty., has a career resume’ in the medical field and would be able to clean up the disaster.

Experience says that conservatives couldn't coalesce around a light bulb if they were moths on a cool night.

The problem is the GOPe will not allow anyone out of the primary whose ‘turn’

There is about as much excitement at GOP conventions as watching
Grass grow

Witness the boredom white toast nonsense since Reagan.

Bush
Dole
Bush
Mclame
Romney

Lets see whose turn is it next?
