The GOP doesn't just have a woman problem, it doesn't understand women
The Guardian ^ | March 9, 2014 | Ana Marie Cox

Carly Fiorina, former California GOP senate challenger to Barbara Boxer, emerged at the Conservative Political Action Conference here as the speaker most willing to engage the Republicans' persistent problems with appealing to women. Well, after she spent the first half of her speech denying climate change. Priorities!

Fiorina didn't offer a solution, but she did offer some great slogans: "I am a proud pro-life woman. ... I believe science is proving us right everyday!" (Hey, don't knock junk science until you've tried it, right?) She also echoed a feminist line when she said, "All issues are women's issues."

I like that line. I've used it myself. But, to judge by the speakers at CPAC this weekend, what she means is, "There's a woman's angle to every issue." You know, ladies care about health care because we have babies! (Especially when we don't have a choice.) Women care about guns because how else will we defend ourselves! (I fear for the woman who told the audience that she sleeps with a "loaded gun next to my bed and I've never felt safer".)

But when feminists talk about every issue being a women's issue, we're not talking about finding a way to make a specific policy agenda appeal to women. What most feminists mean by that is "There's a larger economic or policy angle to every issue dismissed as 'women's'."

The leaders of the GOP just can't comprehend that women's circumstances – decades of discrimination against them – might mean that policies, or the lack of policies, which seem perfectly fair to "everyone else" (white men, basically) have a different impact on them....

Women's issues, minority issues, elder issues, gay issues, poor people issues, short people issues, are the same as everybody else's issues. dividing people into different groups is the first step in creating the perception of inequality, discrimination, or unfairness.

Then the marxists, having discovered (created) the issue, offer to take you under their wing and help you solve it.

"The default position of American women is what men refer to as "the chip," a veiled truculence, mixed with a not-very-veiled hostility toward men and a shaky sense of sexual identity. The result is a touchiness reminiscent of hungover ferrets. There is a bandsaw edge to them, a watching for any slight so that they can show that they aren't going to take it. They are poised to lash out in aggressive defense of their manhood.

It's not new. There's nothing new under the sun.

I remind American women: men are our sole defenders. Treat them with love and respect.

The fact that I didn’t support Obama led some former friends to label me a racist. But as my good friend, who is Black and Evangelical, said ‘you don’t like Hillary either, do you hate women?’. I am a woman. The epithet is all that matters and the LIVs buy into it just like Big Media tells them to. We have become a country of fools.

They say this so minorities can have abortions out of proportion with the population and libs can talk about women’s rights. The Guardian alrighty is one of the enemy newspapers, worse than what is in the US, as difficult as that may be.

Back when black America had more class and had not gotten so deep into pity parties, it would have been insulted at a Barack Obama. THAT was supposed to be the pinnacle of black American leadership? No, that’s a sock puppet full of marxist cant without a mind of his own.

We have become a country of fools.

I hate to say it, but we've become a country of timid, traumatized men, and who's damned fault is that? Grrrrrrrrr. The government (of course), the Left, and women. No Fault Divorce, where women overwhelmingly have gotten the spoils of parental authority for the past two generations, has done more to rape boys and men in America than anything, and it was powered and enabled by the left and government. The boy sees his father an emasculated slave, and wonders what he has to look forward to as a dad himself.

I'd rather vote for men. I'm almost a misogynist, though I'm a woman. I love Thatcher, I love Palin. I'd vote for both. But on balance, I prefer men. It saddens me to see that in America today, THE WOMEN are the ones carrying the Limited Government Conservative banner so high -- where the hell are the guys? But I know they're there, I'm just bitching.

Hey, I'm female.

OK that’s funny ha ha. Women with any brains want the same things men do. We want our children and grandchildren to have a future as free people. We want not to be robbed by the IRS. We want to be able to live without bigbrother looking over our shoulder . We want babies to not be murdered in or out of the womb. We want our elders not to be murdered just becausethey’re old and iinconvenient.

I think the “Women’s Issues” are way overblown and I am suspicious of women who want to make a big issue of the difference in men and women. The similarities in this day and age are too close and too critical.

Agree completely. I have always said that I wish we had a Margaret Thatcher in this country. A woman who could rise above the destruction that the Media promotes. But I sometimes feel like Diogenes.

The leaders of the GOP just can't comprehend that women's circumstances – decades of discrimination against them – might mean that policies, or the lack of policies, which seem perfectly fair to "everyone else" (white men, basically) have a different impact on them....

I guess there are no women conservatives or Republicans.

Oh wait, I'm sorry, there are, but they don't exist. You see, Democrat women don't disagree with others, or have discussions, or debate, or consider alternative viewpoints.

No, no, no. These peace-loving, baby and families oriented paragons have a much better method of dealing with disagreement:

They Erase You.

So you see, there are no Conservative or Republican women. They don't exist. Right now, it's figurative. Such women are shunned and not acknowledged, literally denied their humanity and existence.

But as history has repeatedly shown, that's not where progressives leave things. Oh no. Because some sunny day they'll be able to ACTUALIZE their dream of "peace" and actually make all those disagreeing women... disappear.

And then liberal women can say there really, actaully are no conservative or Republican women in America, just like the president of Iran looks the whole world in the eyes and says quite truthfully that there are no homosexuals in Iran.

You think the same females that can chop up a living breathing 9 month old baby into bloody pieces and call it freedom won't do this? LOL! Dream on!

They DREAM of it.

I used to be somewhat of a Feminist.......until I saw the famous Feminists (including Anita Hill) give Bill Clinton a pass and go after the women he had groped and assaulted. I realized that Feminists aren't actually for women, they are just for Left-wing causes and use women to get their agenda through. Sadly, too many women buy into the victim meme. If Feminists would be for ALL women, they would be a powerful force. But they aren't; they are just female Left-wing hacks using women.
