Why Rand Paul will win the 2016 primaries, and the presidency
The Daily Caller ^ | March 10, 2014 | Brent Hatley, radio personality

You have probably seen all of the ridiculous speculating about the GOP nomination in 2016. This is still speculating, but my sincere hope is you don’t think it’s ridiculous too.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is laying the foundation for his presidential bid in concrete and steel.

First, forget about Jeb Bush unless you want to hand Hillary eight years in the White House. The latest Rasmussen poll shows her leading Jeb in a general election 47 percent to 33. His name is Bush and to the general public the specifics of how smart he is doesn’t matter one iota.

Then there’s Ted Cruz, he’s nothing but a hack. There’s no substance to what he says. He only cares about adulation and applause. When he speaks, it’s contrived and inauthentic. Matt Lewis’s recent piece on Ted Cruz’ strategy illustrated this, pointing out that Ted Cruz is trying to get close to Paul, while sticking to the mainstream GOP foreign policy to not seem to far out there.

Even before Chris Christie’s troubles with the George Washington Bridge and being exposed at the very least for hiring a petty, inept staff he was a poor fit for the Republican party base. His disdain for the second amendment is a major obstacle. Governor Christie has done nothing to restore the gun rights of the people of New Jersey and doesn’t care to. Whether intentional or not, Christie helped Barack Obama get re-elected through his endorsements and photo ops after Hurricane Sandy....

16 is a long way off. Think about this year first.

A GD dog would be better than this garbage that is in the White Hut.

I would put Walker up top if he decides to run. Dont agree with some of his views, but, a successful governor is a better candidate.

A successful governor is a good choice for president and it is going to take one strong person to straighten out the mess caused by this regime. So, my choices are either Walker or Perry. I love Ted Cruz as well, and if he runs - it is going to be a difficult decision.

"...the author sounds like a Ron Paul supporter if you read the whole article.'

Pundits like this will pen articles for a number of potentials between now and 2016, and if one turns out to be right, they will point to it to burnish their creds, and if not, the article will by and large fall down the memory hole.

Rand Paul is not a leader, he is a RINO front. The GOP will throw this election again.

He won’t, so asking why he will seems a bit superfluous.

a successful governor is a better candidate................................ Yes, I agree, even a 2 yr one. But will his name recognition be a factor? He will be up against the one, and the only champion of women’s rights, the greatest Sect’y of State ever, and and the former Co Governor or Arkansas. But most of all, will he be loved by the media? Predicting Republican candidates would make a great soap opera.Come 2016, Rove will have his choice running, and it will be nothing but another disastrous defeat.
Looks like this once great country I knew is becoming another Argentina. It can happen here.
