Palin Endorses Three "True Conservative" Women

Sarah Palin, who announced a number of midterm endorsements recently, signaled a spring awakening for fellow mamma grizzlies this week, throwing her support behind three female House and Senate candidates on Thursday after backing Iowa’s Joni Ernst the day before.

The latest Republican recipients of the Tea Party star’s coveted imprimatur are Florida Senate Majority Leader Lizbeth Benacquisto, who’s running in her state’s 19th Congressional District; and former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel and Minnesota state Sen. Julianne Ortman, both of whom are U.S. Senate candidates.

All three endorsements were announced on the former Alaska governor’s Facebook page, and all hit upon a familiar theme: her support for “true conservatives.”

“Lizbeth is running against a wealthy self-funded candidate with lots of splashy campaign ads claiming to be a conservative,” Palin wrote in an apparent reference to Curt Clawson, who was endorsed by the Tea Party Express. “Look at a candidate’s record, not just their rhetoric. Lizbeth is a genuine conservative with a track record to prove it.”

On her own Facebook page, Benacquisto said she was “[h]onored by the support of fellow conservative and patriot Governor Sarah Palin.”

Handel was endorsed by the GOP’s 2008 vice presidential candidate in 2010 when she ran unsuccessfully for governor of the Peach State. In 2012, the pro-life Handel resigned her position as vice president of the Susan G. Komen foundation following her efforts to cut funding channeled from the breast cancer nonprofit to Planned Parenthood....

Julianne Ortmann - running for the MN GOP endorsement for US Senate against Al Franken. IMHO. we have at least 2 other candidates who are stronger: Mike McFadden and Chris Dahlberg.

Karen Handel ain’t no conservative. Unfortunately, she is a pretty face and a light weight with no substance. This is NOT the best choice for Georgia.

Sorry Mrs. Palin, can’t go with you on this one. You were right about Ted and totally wrong about Handel

what the heck are you rambling on about? Either tell us the issue or quite talking about this ‘invisible’ reason to slam Cruz.

Have the courage of your convictions just be respectful of how you say it

Handel did make Bloomberg mad when the Komen Foundation made the announcement that Planned Parenthood funding was being cut.

He came out saying he would replace any lost money. Dianne Feinstein and other libs were enraged.

The rage of the libs forced the Komen Foundation to restore PP funding and forced Handel out of the organization.

The acid test for Sarah comes with Kentucky Primary and whether or not she endorses Matt Bevin. Her decision or lack of one will matter to me.

Sorry it’s a real issue but Jimrob warned me, and I really like FR.

But I am (seriously) concerned with it.

It is to me a deal breaker, and I really really like Ted Cruz. Just saying.

He’s recently backed off on it, and it could be he got the message. I am closely watching.

Again I really like Cruz. Quite a lot, but he’s being a bit insensitive on what I believe is a very big issue.

Sorry to be so oblique. I know it’s a bit irritating, but that’s the way it is.

Thanks for your post.

You are so logically inconsistent I wonder if perhaps you really are not a conservative at all.

You claimed to be 100% for Cruz EXCEPT for this one thing (which someone graciously emailed me and clued me in...and it wasn’t you). When Someone stands for their principles they should be applauded not derided. Your inability understand that Ted stands for what he believes us your problem not his. I love the fact that he hates Ocare and is willing to put it all on the line for his belief.

Every issue he has spoken out on has been spot on.

Since you think the ‘unspeakable’ is a BIG issue the go vote for a RINO or a dim.

I stand with Ted...and I hope he starts hammering ‘your issue’ again scalpel and sutures blaring

Oh hello.

I am not logically inconsistent, and I hope Ted Cruz realizes that despite the majority of GOP voters being for the “repeal Obamacare” movement I think there are quite a few of us who are not on board with that.

Just saying. Not 100%,

I don’t currently use or need Obamacare, but I might due to things at work, in the future. My doctor already told me there is something I have had worked on, which another insurer may not cover.

That is, until Obamacare, presented a coverage which will. I don’t know if I’ll need it, but it’s sure good to have someone covering me, if I need it at some point.

I also don’t believe I am alone.

So just saying Cruz.

You’re doing great, but be careful about this issue. Don’t go overboard on this.

That is all. :D

If you think Ocare is a good thing in any way shape or form you probably ought to go ask any Indian who suffers through the care given by the government to them via the BIA....or maybe you prefer the way our vets are cared for.

YOU said you were 100% for Cruz and then said except fir that one thing. You cannot have it both ways. No matter what happens at your work if you end up in Ocare your health care will be that of the local medicaid recipient. Good luck with that since docs aren’t taking new patients and hospitals (unless county funded) do not take medicaid patients. they are all sent to the local county hospital and stand in line and then are denied services.

You apparently know NOTHING about health care in this country.

i suggest you listen to Reagan’s speech in regards to socialized medicine and then check yourself
