Sen. Rand Paul says potential White House rival Jeb Bush was inarticulate when he described immigrants who come to the United States illegally as committing an "act of love."

In an interview that aired Sunday, Paul said that those immigrants "are not bad people" but added the United States "can't invite the whole world" inside its borders....

The Democrats can - and will - "invite the whole world."

To keep political control for one more election cycle, they'll gladly destroy the political and social system that has kept the United States free and prosperous for 240 years. They'll smile while they're doing it, and call you a racist for resisting.

“...you can’t invite the whole world...”

That is the problem, as a huge number of people want to come here. There are probably 100Million people in BOTH India and China who want to come to the US. Can we absorb 200,000,000 more people?

No. What we should be doing is limiting immigration to relatives of those already here legally, and those people who are enduring targeted genocide.

The genocide issue is interesting. At present it involves South African whites and colored people, and Christians in the Middle East. Neither group is considered politically correct. So, for Progressives, that means they should die.

Instead we are being overrun by illegal aliens originating from south of our border, namely Mexico, and Asians. Both regions appear to have good economies with plentiful jobs.

We do not usually expect people from regions with good economies to immigrate. But these people, once here, will vote for the Democrat Party.

No, Randie, they’re “not bad people”....they’re just lawbreakers who don’t assimilate once they get here - and demand Free Stuff™, paid for by the law abiders.

Paul is toast.

No. What we should be doing is limiting immigration to relatives of those already here legally, and those people who are enduring targeted genocide.

I can't say I agree with this, either. What we should be doing is using a system like Australia has where:

1) English speakers are favored.
2) Youth are favored
3) The educated are favored
4) Those with professional expertise in needed fields of study are favored.
5) Married couples where the spouse also fits the above are favored.

I'd prefer to favor immigrants from ally nations, as well.

If you get an immigration system like this, you don't need to worry so much about being culturally inundated or forcing relatively low skill US workers out of competition for jobs or so suppressing wages that the general populace is hurt by immigration. If you're bringing in immigrants who will be able to fill an immediate need, you're getting a net plus out of the system.

It should be noted that even the average legal immigrant costs this nation money right now. Yes, they cost more than they contribute. What's the value of having any immigrants if this is the case? I'd argue that there's no value at all.
