Cochran Accidentally Calls Obamacare 'Important Effort of the Federal Government'
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | May 31, 2014 | Matthew Boyle

BILOXI, Mississippi — When Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) goes on the record with reporters, it always seems to bring a surprise or two.

This time, in an interview with veteran Washington Post reporter Dan Balz at a campaign stop, Cochran accidentally called Obamacare “an example of an important effort by the federal government to help make health care available, accessible and affordable.”

“I’m glad to be involved in that effort,” Cochran added. According to Balz, Cochran was asked how he evaluated the state of play over the health care law. But afterward, a Cochran adviser phoned Balz to claim it was a mixup.

“A short time later, a Cochran adviser called to say there was disagreement aboard Cochran’s bus about whether the health question had been about Obamacare or the problems at the Veterans Administration," Balz wrote. "He said Cochran was among those on the bus who thought the question was about the VA."

Cochran, Balz noted, hadn't mentioned Obamacare at his previous campaign stop, but after Balz asked about it, he told an audience at his Hattiesburg campaign office that he does oppose the law because Obama's proposals aren't “politically acceptable.”(continued)

The 76 year old Cochran sounds as confused as Pete Stark did when he was ousted from the House two years ago.

Bingo...they pull that BS up here in Vermont and Red Hampshire...Demorats actually organize to crossover and vote for the weakest candidate in the GOP field...that is why you got McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012. NH has that early open primary for a reason.

don’t think it will be even close on Tuesday.

Cochran 57%
McDaniels 42%

BUT see this:

Poll: Sen. Cochran Has Small Lead Over Tea Partier

"Cochran leading McDaniel 45 percent to 40 percent with 15 percent still undecided."

Why didn’t Breitbart leave the word “Accidentally” out of the title of the article?

Well, technically true. “Important effort of the federal government” and “good for the country” are not necessarily the same thing

There he goes again. Does anybody know if Chris McDaniel is taking advantage of all these gaffes Thad is making recently? What he said this time is almost a damning as the news about the DUI Arrest of George W. that came out the weekend before the Election in 2000. If you read what Thad said in response to the question, you KNOW he did not think he was talking about the VA.
COME ON CHRIS..... JUMP ON THIS! IF IT WAS YOU WHO SAID THAT IT WOULD BE ALL OVER THE AIRWAYS BY NOW.

For what it’s worth, I think you have hit the nail right on the head — don’t think it will be even close on Tueday.

Cochran 57%
McDaniels 42%

Thanks for the encouraging news right here before the Election. Why didn’t you post the numbers from TPM (Talking Points Memo) that Show Chris Leading Thad Cockroach by 2 percentage points and 7.9 percent undecided? Political reality is that 80% of Undecideds always break for the Challenger. Why couldn’t you print that? Why couldn’t you print some good news? Please watch TV until the Election is over and stay off the computer.

Accidentally? This is a man, allegedly involved in politics, who admitted he has never hear of the Tea Party. The guy just votes how his handlers tell him. There are people in comas who are more politically involved them him.

I heard him talk on agriculture. He knows his ag issues inside and out and is very lucid and articulate on ag.

Is he stupid on other issues, maybe, but not on ag.

Senility setting in? Thad hasn’t sounded too good when he adds his “I approved this ad” comment on TV and radio. I also notice that there are only still shots of him vs. showing current movements.
