He's baaaack!: Romney destroys all other potential Republicans in N.H. presidential primary poll
The London Daily Mail ^ | July 11, 2014 | David Martosko, U.S. Political Editor

The WMUR/Granite State Poll gives Christie a first-place 19 per cent showing among New Hampshire Republicans
But when Romney is added to the mix, he draws 39-percent support and leaves everyone else in single digits
Paul Ryan has the highest 'favorable' numbers of the field, at 55 per cent
Christie's 46 per cent favorable number is soft since a separate 36 per cent say they don't like him
When asked which potential White House hopeful they would never support, More Republicans name Christie than any other pol.

Chris Christie narrowly leads the pack of potential Republican presidential candidates in a poll of New Hampshire residents released Friday, but Mitt Romney crushes the competition when his name is added to the field.

Christie, the cantankerous and controversial New Jersey governor, emerged as the most polarizing name on a list of 13 politicians presented during a phone poll between June 19 and July 1.

While 46 per cent of New Hampshire Republicans like him, another 36 per cent don't. And he topped the list when GOP respondents were asked who they definitely would not vote for.

But with 19 per cent support in a hypothetical presidential primary, Christie has emerged as the flavor-of-the-month front-runner.

All 13 potential Republican candidates in the WMUR/Granite State Poll have either fed speculation about their plans for 2016 or allowed pundits to place their names in contention.

But former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who has said he will not run for president again, comes out far ahead when his name is added to the mix – posting numbers nearly as dominant as Hillary Clinton's in the Democratic field....

One shouldn't be surprised given the overwhelming buyers remorse of Obama.

(That's not an endorsement of Romney by me -- far from. Just making the observation that this is all "buyers remorse.")

If he runs I know he’ll get at least one less vote than he got the last time.

Why does that little piss ant state have so much say so regarding who gets nominated?

Good question.

Each party should have their primaries on different days. Start with the states that voted most for them last time around.

what’ the surprise here? N.H. is the land of the RINO and the Food Stamp Republican.

I wonder if they polled a STATE THAT MATTERS is it would be the same? NO!

There is a reason the RINOS like the calendar of primaries...It allows them to unfairly influence the outcome

That would really by an exciting match up — NOT!

Romney vs Hillary.

He lost to the guy who lost to Obama.
He lost to Obama.
Hillary lost to Obama.

Yeah, what a match up.

A liberal Republican verses a leftist Democrat — difficult to see much difference.

If romney runs Ted needs to remind him of his third debate with obama.

Even newly elected Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas complained that Romney failed to get across that there are “two viewpoints and directions for the country” and that he erred by trying to “be a nice guy.” As Cruz said, “I’m pretty certain Mitt Romney actually French-kissed Barack Obama” in the third debate — proving once again that comedy is harder than it looks.

My suspicion at this point is the media trying to weaken the candidate of the party’s choosing.

The one who had zero support in this poll was Kasich. And the GOP convention is going to he held...in Cleveland.

At this point, I would say the “party” is lining up to get behind Kasich and have the big celebration in his state.

I like Kasich.... but enough to be president ???

Just trying to predict the outcome... and I could be wrong.

It’s said that Republican primary voters outside of Red Hampshire are so uninformed and hence motivated to follow the lead of Red Hampshire time and time again.

I just did a Google search for the phrase “Adlai Romney”. There was only one hit, so this post will be the second time it has been used on the internet. I fear that there will end up being many, many more instances! No more Romney, please!

I like Greg Gutfeld and Andy Levy better (not to mention Sarah, of course) if we’re picking candidates from the Fox News lineup. LOL

If that list is the best crowd the GOP can come up with in two years they’ll deserve to lose.
