You don’t feel that Senator Ted Cruz is a viable candidate? Have you ever read his biography?

If that list is the best crowd the GOP can come up with in two years they’ll deserve to lose.

True.
I have zero experience in politics, and am generally a failure at life, and I would make a better president than most on that list.

They no longer believe in live free or die.

Now it's "live free or whatever."

It's amazing how many dimwits here forgot that the Republican Voters chose Romney in 2012. So to not support the Voters is proof that these Romney haters were actually communists Democrats. It was your duty to the voters to support who they preferred. And these types decided that King Obama was a better choice. Idiots.

I was not a Romney supporter but the difference between a dictator like King Obama, I had to choice to make. Being a responsible voter to the majority of the voters was and always will be an obligation and to deny that is foolish.

A dead cat would be a better choice than the majority of the list.

Below is a link to one of the best strips on the 1984 Meadow Party Convention, for those who can remember Bloom County.

At least the Republicans pretend to oppose the liberal agenda from time to time and are not looking to be obliterated in 2014. That is where we would be with Romney.

It’s New Hampshire — what do you expect???

New Hampshire gave us Juan McCain 4 years earlier.

It wasn't as clear as that: remember how there were [several] instances of things like retroactive primary rule-changes?
And then there was the whole RNC vote/teleprompter incident, oh and the bus incident, too.

I am sure Romney will get the nod once again. He has a prơven track record of being able to throw an election that should have been a shoo-in. Republicans like that in their presidential candidates.

The GOP candidate is already chosen by the time our primary rolls around. So our only voice is to either vote or not in the election.

This has got to stop.

What are the chances of a change in this protocol in time to salvage the 2016 presidential nomination?

You don't need a crystal ball to see what's coming.

For the presidential race, it seems to me the only hope will be in an independent "second" party candidate. I hope Cruz and Palin take the risk. At the point where you are expected to vote to put into power a person you know full well will, if he wins, advance government tyranny on the same premises as the Democrats, you have nothing to lose by blowing them off and voting Second party.

C.E.W., for the first time I entertain doubts as to whether we will have an election. I will be happy and relieved to be here discussing our vote in November of 2016.

That Free State Project worked out fine.

From an article in the July 6th edition of the Concord (NH) Monitor:

A thin haze of campfire smoke blurred the sunset over the hills of the Great North Woods and mingled with the tangy smell of marijuana. Welcome to PorcFest. The music came from Buzz’s Big Gay Dance Party, held June 27, the penultimate night of an annual five-day long experiment in libertarian living courtesy of the Free State Project.

The locals know what really motivates the Free Staters...

Why do we want to run a guy who took second place, in a race with a strong running mate?

No more Romney.

We already tried Romney. He LOST.
