Business group has been major force in 2014 races.
On the day after New Jersey and Virginias gubernatorial elections last fall, Mitch McConnell showed up at a board meeting of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce with another race on his mind. He announced that the days most consequential contest had been neither Chris Christies victory nor Ken Cuccinellis defeat. Instead, the Senate minority leader explained, it had been a GOP primary in South Alabama.
The Chamber had shelled out about $200,000 in the sleepy district on the Mississippi border to rescue a mainstream candidate who was struggling to fend off a Tea Party firebrand. The race had emerged as a test of whether the GOP could thwart a conservative insurgency that threatened to swallow it. Backed by the Chambers money and muscle, the establishment candidate eked out a victory. If it wasnt for you, McConnell told the audience, according to two people present, it wouldnt have happened.
The visit was both a token of institutional gratitude and a sign of things to come....

They pretty much had their way with our state’s primaries.
Yep. The Chamber has been in bed with the GOPe and has been pushing this illegal immigration.
I had a leftie (at another site) tell me that the COC underwrote the TEA party wins in 2010. Seriously.
Maybe you could get your bud, Jeb Bush, to chip in a few pesos as well. As an act of love.
I sure hope the GOP isn’t counting on the DNC infested Chamber of Commerce of bailing them out in November too. It isn’t going to happen. The GOP better come up with a Plan B. Quickly.
at least they’re out in the open and have declared openly who the enemy is.
It's clear that Washington is completely out of control, controlled by elitists, and nothing short of another revolution is going to save this nation.
And next year they will be expecting amnesty in return for their investment.
The US Chamber of Crony Capitalism....these hacks at national are all the same sots who scratch the backs of the GOPe and the dimorats. I REFUSE to vote for any candidate running ads paid for by them.....Hear that Kingston??? You are a slick slimy politician and I will NEVER vote for you.
We should have a third party: the Chamber of Commerce Party (aka, The Rent Seeker Party).
Now, legal plunder can be committed in an infinite number of ways. Thus we have an infinite number of plans for organizing it: tariffs, protection, benefits, subsidies, encouragements, progressive taxation, public schools, guaranteed jobs, guaranteed profits, minimum wages, a right to relief, a right to the tools of labor, free credit, and so on, and so on. All these plans as a whole with their common aim of legal plunder constitute socialism.
Now, since under this definition socialism is a body of doctrine, what attack can be made against it other than a war of doctrine? If you find this socialistic doctrine to be false, absurd, and evil, then refute it. And the more false, the more absurd, and the more evil it is, the easier it will be to refute. Above all, if you wish to be strong, begin by rooting out every particle of socialism that may have crept into your legislation. This will be no light task.

Proof another party is what’s needed. If it gives the democrats a victory it will also be giving the rinos a defeat.
Notice how relatively quiet the big amnesty supporters in the GOPe have been?
Why doesn’t Gov. Perry in TX just use his National Guard? President’s federalized the guard to do their bidding can he force them to sit on their hands?
I thought the NG in states were there to help that state in a time of crises and this counts.
The US Chamber of Big Business and RINO supporters...
The Chamber of Commies can ESAD.
Well, you can rely on them for your VOTES too, GOP scum!!! What’s that, a few thousand, most of whom are in deep blue states?
You’ve nominated majority candidates most people hate, and you’ll suffer for it. And I will not shed a tear if/when Kentucky kicks Mitch to the curb. The WORST minority leader we’ve ever seen.
I hope Grimes cleans Mitch’s clock in November.
Loud and clear: Vote against the Chamber of Commerce-endorsed candidates in the primary, and if they win but are no better than the ‘Rat on your key issues, vote for the ‘Rat in the general. It’s time to hoist the black flag and start cutting throats in the effort to retake the GOP.
The Chamber of Commerce might provide the money but they can’t create voters for general elections. I would take a stand in MS and vote for the Democratic in order to teach the GOPe a lesson.
The Chamber of WORLD Commerce cares little about Americans
