President Obama famously said to Mitt Romney during a 2012 debate concerning Russia, the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back Right now, that phrase rings true for many of the current GOP candidates messaging and marketing strategies.
The 1980s are calling, and they want their campaign marketing plans back.
Thats why 2016 is anyones race. The Republican nomination will likely draw a dozen or more candidates. Three second-tier candidates got into the race just this week, and no single candidate has consistently broken 20 percent in the polls.
With a 21st century marketing strategy, even a second-tier candidate like Carly Fiorina, Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz, Rick Perry, or John Kasich could win this nomination.

One of thee guys is not like other ones!! Cruz, of course.
I’m not smart enough to figure out the whole H 1B thing or if the vote on Iran procedure was the right move or not, but nothing close to changing my mind on him has happened yet.

That was a simple push for anyone but the spineless insider we eventually got stuck with. I doubt that even Romney's wife finds him exciting. The rest of us looked at the father of Romneycare with dread. We would have taken anyone but Romney and given far more support than the RINO loser ended up with. Our party leadership would rather lose with their guy than win with a conservative. I hope they choose more wisely this year.
Silly article. Even in Texas, where Perry was governor, Ted Cruz is far ahead of Rick Perry(and everyone else) in every poll I have seen. Author is trying too hard to push Ted Cruz down and its not working.
They wish! Cruz to Victory!
Cruise to victory with Cruz.
