Chris Christie Raps Donald Trump As 'Painfully Naive' About Syria
The Huffington Post Huffpost Politics ^ | October 4, 2015 | Daniel Marans

Trump called Vladimir Putin's intervention there "a wonderful thing."

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) called Donald Trump's position on Syria "painfully naive" on Sunday, slamming him for welcoming Russian President Vladimir Putin's intervention in that country.

Christie suggested on ABC's "This Week" that Trump's apparent support for Russian airstrikes amounted to "agreeing with Barack Obama."

"Only Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton could mess up this foreign policy that badly," the Republican presidential candidate added. "And anybody who agrees with allowing the Russians into the Middle East is just painfully naive."

In truth, President Obama has been extremely critical of Putin's actions in Syria, refusing to cooperate with the Russian military campaign and faulting Putin for not recognizing that Syrian President Bashar Assad is "the problem here." The Obama administration has said that it's coordinating with Russia only to avoid accidentally shooting down one another's planes in Syria....

Yes, they’ve always said the best place to gain expertise on foreign policy, Syria in particular, is being Governor of New Jersey.

If the Russians are killing ISIS and other terrorist groups (yeah, I know Obama and McCain are calling some of them rebels), then I have no problems with their actions.

Our current administration is controlled by the muslim brotherhood. I certainly don’t believe their agenda is in our best interest.

“The Enemy of My Enemy Is .......... well, I don’t have a problem with them smokin’ a few terrorists.”

Of course the first choice was passed over by our government’s ineptness. Russia is plan B. I cannot help but be glad that while ISIS is running for cover they are too busy to rape and murder and torture and enslave and behead people.

The worst part in my perspective is that Russia has been pushed to team up with the likes of Iran and China instead of us. Opportunity lost for building a good relationship with Russia and in so doing influencing them to be on our side of these issues. Now we have “death to Israel, death to America” Iran, super funded and weaponized, entering this fight while they will on the side be targeting the U.S. and Israel. Russia did not HAVE TO be in the coalition of U.S. haters had we played the past two decades smarter.

Unfortunately, HUGGER needs to realize that we have no choice but to accept Vlad bombing ISIS. Without swarmy hugs? who knows? Romney, for all his warts, would have handled the mid-east better than the Emperor. Trump is right.

‘While Christie said the United States should “re-establish its presence” in Syria, he did not endorse creating a no-fly zone or otherwise specify how to accomplish that goal.’

...and so he will remain at less than 1% in the polls until his campaign is broke

Is there a definitive list of pro-ISIS Republican candidates? Christie, Kasich, Fiorina, Bush, Rubio? Who else?

Let’s confront the Russians, effectively protect IS, all in the name of protecting the ‘rebels’ who have turned AQ...

Talk about naive.

Note to Gov. Christie-
There are no good guys sometimes.

He seems to me to be just another arrogant career politician. There’s clearly no shortage of them.

This is a valid point, but that horse has left the barn. Trump didn't allow anything. The fact is that Russia is there now, thanks to Bammy. The real question is what to do about it now.... cheer for them as they kill ISIS, or oppose them?

Are you, Chris Christie, saying that you would commit American troops to take on the Russian military to kick them back out of he region, and thus prevent them from killing ISIS soldiers?

Doughnut Boy must be in sugar shock after too many pastries. Trump is applauding thr Russian airstrikes against ISIS and Christie has a problem with that? What has Christie’s main squeeze, Obummer, accomplished in Syria?
