That might well occur in 2016...
Dukakis? Mondale? Kerry?
Sure, Hillary probably should be indicted by now, but as presidential candidates go, she's not the worst either party has nominated.
Leaden-footed or hamfisted or whatever her problem is, it's not worse than Dukakis's or Mondale's.
And even if she is the worst, she's got the woman thing going for her and that tribal appeal could offset a lot of her negatives.
Well that was a complete waste of time piece of crap. Thanks for nothing.
“Which is absurd nonsense in light of the fact that 5 of the last 9 Presidential Elections have been won by Republicans.”
Going back 9 elections (35 years) gives you the three Reagan victories in 1980, 1984, 1988 (G. H. W. Bush ran as Reagan’s 3rd term in 1990) Looking at more recent history, in the last 25 years, the GOP has won the popular vote in only one presidential election (2004). In the 5 others - 1992, 1996, 2000, 2008, 2012, the GOP candidate has lost the popular vote. Democrats have won in the past 2 election with the most radical candidate in the history of the party and the nation.
The black vote will turn out big for Hillary in 2016 for the following reasons:
1) Obama in the end will campaign for her, and if Cruz or Trump is the candidate he will campaign hard for her. He will not want a GOP president who will try to roll back his agenda.
2) The Obama database will be available to Hillary. She will have the ground troops in place to get people to the polls.
3) Black women will be enthusiastic about making history by voting in the first female president.
4) If Obama forces Hillary to put Deval Patrick on the ticket, or Corey Booker, he will ensure a huge black turnout.
5) Black government workers and black welfare recipients will be afraid of cuts by President Cruz or President Trump.
6) If Cruz or Rubio is the nominee, there will be an anti-Hispanic whispering campaign in the black community.
7) Soros, Steyer and other progressive billionaires will ensure there is plenty of waking around money for the community organizers.
8) Black urban mayors will be pushing voter turnout.
9) The Black Lives Matter activists will create a frenzy.
It could be somebody like Jim Webb, if he's interested, though his constituency overlaps with Trump's. It could be a Bernie Sanders-type.
Or some Old Yankee guy who straddles the two parties. Sort of like John Anderson in the 80s or one of the party-jumpers more recently (Chafee, Jeffords, Specter -- not a dead guy, of course, but somebody like that).
Or maybe Bloomberg. Two NYC millionaires going at each other.
Or for that matter, it could be a discontented Republican. Some Daniels/Pawlenty type.
Perot and Nader are also still alive (if only barely).
I can think of one as bad, perhaps worse. Hint, his last name starts with an O.
“If Trump wins, we go to war.”
Could be, but it will be to win, not micromanage every operation like things are being done now, and were done under LBJ and McNamarna and who could forget good old Jimmy Carter. I wonder why the micromanagement of wars and conflicts that the US gets into is ALWAYS MICROMANAGED BY DEMOCRATS???? Could it be that they want total control of EVERYTHING? I think so.
How George Wallace Predicted Donald Trump

The establishment republican party has said they don’t know how to attack him. That means that they can’t refute Trump’s positions on the various issues. Does that mean his positions are (a) intrinsically sound, and (b) receiving strong voter support?
What happens if Trump becomes the Republican nominee? The answer is quite simple: he becomes the next president.
Lots of people won’t be terribly happy with that, and because of who they are I will be extremely happy with that.
Obama promised hope and change. Trump will actually deliver, but not quite in the way that Obama and his brain-dead supporters ever envisioned.
You know, it's a strange thing - but I have found that if a woman is beautiful, she is not only a thing to be held in awe, but she also may suffer hatred for being beautiful!
I have seen it many, many times.
But I see this in her (as you do): she actually loves and supports her husband, and she loves her family.
Mooch Obama has no such character - and I don't care how much "spin" is thrown at me, I will never believe it.
I love your Support FR picture.
Thanks! :-)
Beautiful women have a tough row to hoe. Men get very paranoid in their presence and strike out in very ugly and cruel ways. I’ve seen it many, many times. Ivanka is lucky in that she has a strong family, wealth and confidence. She got married relatively young and is somewhat insulated from loony men and evil women who want to bring her down. Luck has a lot to do with it but that’s life and I wish this lovely young lady the best!
I think you are correct. The fear that drives the Republican Establishment’s hell bent pursuit of destroying Mr. Trump is not only the fear of him stopping the tax payer gravy train they gorge themselves upon, they fear him uncovering just how devastating their corruption has cost this country. They fear prison. They fear the American people finally grabbing pitchforks.
Their primary fear, above all else, is people knowing the truth.
