“I will say it is more than a little strange to see Donald relying on as authoritative a liberal, left-wing, judicial activist Harvard law professor who is a huge Hillary supporter," Cruz replied. "It starts to make you think, ‘Gosh, why are some of Hillary’s strongest supporters backing Donald Trump?’"

"You know, the last couple of elections, you’ll recall the Democrats got the nominee they wanted to run against in the general election," Cruz said. "It seems the Hillary folks are very eager to support Donald Trump and the attacks that are being tossed my direction.'"

See if I have this right: (this is probably where I should declare the obligatory “I like Ted Cruz”)

Ted Cruz is NBC because a parent (his mother) was a US citizen living in Canada at the time of baby Cruz’s birth.

OK.

So, with lots of lonely US citizen soldiers in Viet Nam fathering children, there were likely lots of NBCs left behind to live out their days in Viet Nam. And, since these babies would all be NBC (like Ted Cruz) any babies they fathered would likewise be NBC. Let this propagate out several generations and we literally have a world of options for who could be POTUS. Just find a few strands of US DNA and you are good to go.

Also, would King of Jordan also be NBC, thus eligible, if his mother (Queen Noor) was born in the US?

This gets confusing. With this being these case even Obama, who was born in Kenya, is a NBC since his mother was born in the US(?????????).

Just trying to get my mind right about Ted.

If Cruz had been born in the United States and was running against someone who was born in Canada of an American mother and didn’t renounce his Canadian citizenship until he was 44 years and decided to run for president, Cruz would be calling him out on it. Being a democrat or republican has nothing to do with it. Why was Cruz so secretive about it and why has it gotten his skin? I don’t think Rubio is an American citizen. He might have been born in the United States, but neither of his parents were American citizens.

Tribe, whom taught constitutional law to Cruz at Harvard, has said the issue is not as cut and dry, recently telling The Guardian that questions about Cruz's eligibility to be president are "murky and unsettled." Trump has favorably cited Tribe's analysis more than once, calling the professor a "constitutional expert, one of the best in the country," during a rally Monday in New Hampshire.

So what would Tribe say about Obama, huh? I'd bet the farm that he would not be saying what he is saying about Cruz

You are posting a ‘Texas Tribune’ article?

The same “discredited” source that all the Cruz supporters REFUSED to accept his quotes from when he called for more 3rd world immigration, more h1bvisas, NO DEPORTATIONS and a legalizing all aliens. Cruz supporters said it was all lies, even though Cruz has NEVER objected to the Texas Tribune.

On Immigration, Cruz Aims for Middle Ground

[snip]Asked about what to do with the people here illegally, however, he stressed that he had never tried to undo the goal of allowing them to stay.

“The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight,” he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation.

Cruz said recent polling indicated that people outside Washington support some reform, including legal status without citizenship.
