Trump is the ultimate insider....
Paying off politicians for years...

You do remember that’s what makes one an “insider” right? Contributing to the politicians and making deals is the corruption everyone is pissed about...

Remember???

Cruz is HATED by the machine, because he won’t play the game.

Isn’t it disingenuous to say you are against political insiders, yet support the ultimate shill for the machine in Trump?

FUNNY!

Seems he passed the camera car but Trump is in the lead car. Based on that, no Ted didn't pass Trump.

"In a purely mathematical sense, it’s possible.".

True.

Ted is hoping Trump drops out.

No he cannot. But that’s not the ultimate question. Can Trump get to 1,237? Don’t think it is likely that this happens either. Looks like a contested convention to me.

Why do I say that? So far Trump has received about 47% of the delegates. He would need to get almost 54% of the remaining delegates. The history says that will not happen.

Had Rubio dropped out two weeks ago it would absolutely be a contested convention. Now it only appears likely...FWIW.

Why does Ted only win if someone else is drops out? Can he not win on his own merit?

Think you’re numbers are wrong. Trump is a little higher in percentage of delegates won. It’s a heavy lift, but he’ll get there. There are many favorable states for him that Ted will not perform well.

Balderdash! Cruz has been playing the GOPe game since the 1990s. His wife too.

“Why does Ted only win if someone else is drops out? Can he not win on his own merit?”

He shares with others certain traits that are similar.

Is that difficult to understand?

Let me turn this around by saying “Why can’t Trump win by getting a majority?” Means over half of all voters prefer someone else, doesn’t it?

So far, those have been few and far between in the states primaries and caucuses.

Nonsense.

Is he an elected politician, yes. Is he GOPe? A resounding hell no.

Some evidence PLEASE...?

Trump on the other hand has easily identifiable campaign donations and hours of media footage paying for establishment candidates and supporting their policies and positions.

So drink your kool-aid and ignore facts so you can prostrate yourself before your demigod.

interesting article.

I wonder why Rush was so sure today that Trump would never get to 1237, with so many states left?

I have see some detailed projections that showed that Trump will get the necessary 12xx+ delegates before the convention, so there won’t be a contested convention. Unfortunately I didn’t save the link right away and could not find it again.

Cruz is HATED by the machine, because he won’t play the game.

Really? well then what game was cruz playing when he pushed TPA through the Senate? Or voted for the corker bill? or pulled the race card on Trump? Or backed the blm movement over the 1st amendment? Hated by the machine indeed!

If you are correct, the GOPe would love Trump.

They hate him because he is an outsider and will clean up the corruption.

I don’t get where the whole idea of Cruz as an outsider came from. It drives me crazy, all the idiotic commentary “blah blah outsider challengers to the GOP establishment, Trump and Cruz, blah blah.” Cruz? He was never not on the GOPe team and has does virtually nothing to challenge GOP orthodoxy on destroying the middle class, propping up Big Finance, and war for Israel.

Voted for Corker Bill, voted for cloture for TPA. Hired Neil Bush and met with JEB! and the rest of his fellow GOPe candidates. Blamed Trump for BLM and La Raza actions in Chicago. The list goes on. There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

Maybe so...here’s what I’ve got per RCP...Trump has 673 out of a total 1,417 awarded to date, or 47.5%. There are 1,055 left to be awarded. Out of that he would need 564 delegates or 53.5%. If I’m wrong I’m wrong...but I go with what I got at the time...
