This election is about America’s future, not conservatism’s.
Sunday’s presidential debate got me thinking about a twitter conversation I had this weekend with Jonah Goldberg, a columnist for National Review and other publications. I like Jonah. He’s what I would call an ideological conservative purist. But I break with him on the most critical issue of this election cycle. Jonah and like-minded conservatives refuse to stop trying to help elect Hillary Rodham Clinton president by trashing her opponent.
In his defense, he sees it as standing up for principles and values, which is a good thing. But this conversation made me realize that it is not the left which is threatening to sink America this year; it is the conservative purist who may actually send this country swirling down the crapper.
Now don’t get me wrong. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Goldberg’s position. In fact, I use to think much like him, so much so that I declared myself a libertarian or, more appropriate, in the words of the National Review Online editor Charles C.W. Cooke, a “conservatorial.” However, over the past eight years, and upon deep reflection on the Clinton years, I have realized that this is war which means we have to be focused on winning.
Many conservative purists like to say they are Americans first, conservatives next, and Republicans third. However, the political left does not make that distinction. It focuses on winning. Look at Bernie Sanders. This self-described socialist stood for fighting entrenched interests on Wall Street but he is not clinging to his liberal purism in light of hacked emails detailing some of Hillary Clinton’s secret speeches to Wall Street. Instead, he is on the stump for Hillary....

Insults aside, I’m tired of people beginning an essay or speech by saying “I like so-and-so” before insulting them. That’s such an insider thing to do. I could scream every time Laura Ingraham says “I like Paul Ryan” and then goes onto rip him a new one. We don’t always have to get along.

I have come to the conclusion that National Review is primarily beholden to their big donors and not conservatism at all. They are hired hands to further their big donors interests.
It is just a job for the writers.

Here’s the thing. The Clintons are the money launderers of the new world order. If they fall, the shadow financial institution that bankrolls agenda 21, the takeover of the free markets and the world media complex is destroyed.
Which leave one of three things. The rise of global jihad at levels we could never imagine. The rise of global Communism. And finally the rise of the freedom of man which would destroy all of this.
This election is it. We have one last chance to fix America, so that the rest of the world can be fixed. If Clinton steals the election, we are looking at a war which might just result in the launching of nukes. And it will come from Iran of all places.

That is good analysis. I’ll only add that stealing an election from Trump will not be easy. Stealing from the GOPe—like taking candy from a baby. Stealing from Trump—like taking grizzly cubs from a foul-tempered sow.
GOPe are trying to co-opt the conservative brand. We know what Trump is and it’s not them. I think under Trump conservatives will flourish. If they prevail, it’s back to the Rockefeller-Romney - Bush wing.

5% of the republicans could vote for Hillary and if Trump lost by 4% they’d blame those who voted for Trump. You see, they’re smarter than us and we’re supposed to vote the way they tell us to.
What really pisses me off is in the last two elections “we the people” went along with their rino candidates. Now they refuse to go along with the one we chose. None of them will ever get my vote. They’re either with us. Or they’re against us. If you’re congress person is a “good guy”, he’s a part of the problem if he’s not out there condemning the rinos.
