Ellison Tells Dem Meeting That Pelosi Supports Medicare for All
The Washington Free Beacon ^ | August 21, 2017 | Charles Fain Lehman

According to DNC Vice Chairman Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) secretly supports Medicare for all.

The video of Ellison, first reported by the Daily Caller, shows him speaking before a local Democratic party meeting in Minnesota last Wednesday.

"I’m signed onto H.R. 676 which is a single-payer health care act," Ellison said. "They call it Medicare for all. Yeah, universal health care. Real single-payer health care. I’m on that."

Ellison stopped to explicitly ask if he was being recorded before explaining that Pelosi backed this bill as well.

"You may have heard that Nancy [Pelosi] is not for it, but that's not really true," he said.

Rather, Ellison said, Pelosi needed to build consensus in the House Democratic caucus before she can push forward on Medicare for all.

"Nancy has to represent a very diverse caucus. She does not like getting out ahead of the caucus too fast. So she’s trying to get, she's, you know, you know, she actually likes the concept," he said.

Ellison suggested that Pelosi was focused on bringing along "blue dogs," Democrats who tend to vote with Republicans more frequently than average.

"She's trying to get, you know, you know, she actually likes the concept. She says it's the best way to do it. She says it's the cheapest way to do it, but she's got to make sure that she brings our Blue Dog friends along. And by the way, for any of us progressives who get mad at the Blue Dogs, if we didn't have them, some of them would be replaced by Republicans," he said.

Pelosi has been all over the board on the issue of single-payer health care in past. In October of 2016, Pelosi told Meet the Press host chuck Todd that she would "love" a single-payer system. In June of 2017, however, Pelosi said that working for single-payer was not a good move strategically, saying that "it isn't helpful to tinkle all over the Affordable Care Act right now."

The Democrat party is communist and ready to drag us into a one party dictatorship as they’re working with Antifa and just waiting to spread the good news of bringing Obama back. Count on it.

The war is on.

“Medicare for all” would cost several trillion dollars if not more.

Plus, we would all be under the stinkin’ government’s thumb.

Screw that!

Which means if you’re someone who has paid into this sh*t all of your life, you are no longer useful to society and will go to the end of the line. The freeloaders and the little snot-nosed illegals will jump ahead of those currently on Medicare. Has CWII started yet?

Medicare for all means a two-tier medical system.

Good care for those that can afford it and almost no care for those that can’t.

For decades we had free care for all in the ER and really great care for those that could buy insurance... Then Obamacare came along and made things much worse.

If you can wait a day it’s better and far cheaper to fly somewhere like India for major medical care...it’s a good reason to keep your passport up to date.

Great. Run with it. Have the CBO score the bill, emphasize the millions of children who will lose Chip coverage, as well as all the millions of poor people dropped from Medicare for this plan, then let the American public know that President Trump will ultimately be in charge of every health decision in the nation. Let’s see how many votes it gets.

Why Medicare? Why not put the freeloaders on the same healthcare plan that the Washington politicians use? The same doctors. The same hospitals. The same everything.

Actually, she’s for Medicaid for all. But if they sold it that way, there would be no buyers.

Medicare is unsustainable as is. Why not throw everyone into bankruptcy.

I wonder how many 50+ year old people are only staying at their old job due to health insurance. Imagine the mass exodus of we were given medicare. I’d be one of them.

Does he realize what he is saying? Every month $111 is withheld from my social security check to pay for my Medicare. Does his and Pelosi’s plan mean that everyone will be on Medicare and everyone will have to pay the monthly fee. Also, Medicare only pays 80 percent of the medical cost, so like me, will they all have to pay the other 20 percent?

Ellison appears to have a constipated brain and diarrhea of his mouth.

I think this has to be only a campaign ploy. If commie CA couldn’t do it with Dem supermajorities, then the US congress can’t do it.

The rinos and Dems like 0-care because they can get payoffs from big insurance companies and pharma to keep the insurance plans subsidized.
