WTHeck is wrong with this man (David Brooks), too cozy in his echo chamber?

The guy so mesmorized by Obama's creases in his pants, did he ever bring up Obama doubled deficit in his 8 years? Or increased the deficit from all the previous presidents combined? Did he ever bring up Obama's redistribution of wealth?

Now all of a sudden, Brooks had this fake concerns.....

(Sorry, a lot of content to excerpt, I may not select the best part within the 300 words limit, read the transcript at source, please.)

David Brooks is supposed to offer a competing opinion to the predictable ultra liberal viewpoint of Mark Shields. I guess in a way he does. Shields will usually begin by spending ten minutes foaming at the mouth and spitting out his rage against Trump.

When Shields is out of breath and near collapse after venting all his his hateful bile, Brooks will calmly take over and spend the final ten minutes claiming that “No, Trump is actually worse than that.”

Always desiring to have the last word, Shields rises from near death to mumble Trump is a narcissistic child, with uncontrollable reckless tendencies and an unapologetic racist, Islamaphobe and a rapist.

Judy gleefully smiles and thanks the two gentlemen for their brilliant insights and analysis. “See You next week.”

They are both going to look like asses again in 2018 but that will not alter the hateful DNA embedded in their hearts and souls.

David Brooks will be disappointed because of a tidal wave, but FOR Trump, not for Dems. 😀

Brooks has inherited the William Safire Chair as the designated republican at the Slimes. Masquerading as their token conservative, he is nothing but a dancing bear on a short leash. He means nothing, pay him no mind.

“Disappointed Trump Voters”

What a pantload. I read the discussion, and Brooks basically admits that the tax bill is a good thing.

So what are Trump voters actually disappointed about? The best I can tell is that - according to Brooks - they are dissapointed because... they don’t “like” him (Trump).

Amazingly, Brooks get paid for this “analysis”.

The Trump Administration will help Republicans get the votes in the right places, but we all need to help with that. Questions we might ask neighbors in conservative areas are,...

* Is business better than it would have been during the economic collapse that we saw coming?

* Do we want an economic collapse after the midterm elections?

* Shouldn’t we give this Administration a chance to see what it can do?

* Would we rather have the Party of Hillary in charge at a time like this?

* Wasn’t it the Democrats’ avoidance of war that made our bully foreign enemies believe they could destroy us and start building up so much?

* Don’t we want to give the corporations enough time to relocate their operations to the U.S.A. to get their tax break and put more of us to work to increase revenues across the country?
