Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) hasn’t taken office yet, but she’s already looking to take out fellow Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), according to a report Tuesday.
Ocasio-Cortez, who shocked the political world when she defeated veteran Queens Rep. Joseph Crowley, said last month she’d support challenges to Democrats who are not as left-leaning as their constituents.
Politico reported that she’s recruited an African-American woman to challenge Jeffries in 2020.
A source told the news website that running a primary rival to Jeffries, who represents parts of Brooklyn and Queens, was the “highest priority” for Ocasio-Cortez.
Jeffries was recently elected the No. 5 Democrat in the House and is considered one of the party’s rising stars.
But in his leadership race, a campaign donation from Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) to Ocasio-Cortez became part of a whispering campaign that was used to attack Lee, a progressive...

I wonder about her. She seems to spend a lot of time working against some of her fellow Democrats.
To a radical such as Ocasio-Cortez, apparently too many Democrats just aren’t liberal enough to suit her.
And she perceives those less than radical Democrats as the enemy of the Nirvana she dreams to create.

She better watch out because there are already rumblings of get her primaried.
Soon the parasite will consume it’s host.
What emerges won’t be another Cabbage Butterfly, but a very poisonous Red Moth.

If she did I don’t think she came away with the right lessons.
It is generally not considered good form to attack your allies. She already made enemies in her party when she ran against and defeated an incumbent representative.
Now she decides to recruit a challenger to a caucus leader.
She is going way out of her way to make powerful enemies.
If she had any dreams of sponsoring legislation she can forget them.
I doubt she will even have anyone asking her to sign on as a co-sponsor.

Communists typically turn on each other. It’s an “I’m more communist than you” bloodbath until the one on top is a fascist nightmare of a commie.
The guy she beat was a caucus leader.
I guess it is no surprise that they are considering primarying her in 2020.
She doesn’t play well with others.
But that’s okay with me.
The more chaos she generates in the Dim Party the better I like it.
Enough Democratic, pro-leftist primary challengers throughout enough Congressional Districts could, also, allow “much more conservative” challengers to emerge victorious. Leftist v.s. Leftist= Cancelling Each Other Out.
That said, considering that it may be true, it might be further evidence that AOC is not a free agent and is in fact a front for the Democratic Socialists of America and is doing their bidding in an effort to radicalize the House.
Based on her interactions with the press and her colleagues, is it obvious that someone is keeping AOC well-advised beyond what her staff would be capable of at this point.
She won’t serve more than one term. She is over.
