Centennial School Board candidate Jessica Schwinn suggested white people who quote Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are racist and accused them of advocating for white supremacy.

I suggest that Jessica Schwinn is exceptionally stupid.

Now, MLK words are “cancelled”

The quote that there should be equality in schools was the most numerous, as the left wants no part of equality in the DOJ, Courts, FBI, or any other government agency. Yet, they believe in equity for schools. They don’t believe in Constitutional rights of those still held from Jan 6th, or for even release of potentially Brady material (video), but they want equity. They believe in ‘democracy’ but don’t believe that voting changes, that violated existing election laws of state legislatures, is a problem.

They want what they want when they want it, not equality or justice.

Just don’t quote the guy, and don’t listen to any of his speeches and don’t read any of his stuff. Just ignore him. But the ironic thing is, if we did that the lefties would call us racist for that!

It just proves the “racist” label has become meaningless.

“People who see racism everywhere they look are toxic and should be avoided at all costs.”

Yup.

So we have a federal holiday for a man we can’t make reference to if we are white?

She may be trying to say MLK is being quoted out of context, but being a lefty, she just naturally reverts to accusations and name calling. It’s the only tool in their toolbox.

I suppose that when blacks quote a white leader, that makes them racists also?

I didn’t think so.

Sometimes the only people running for school boards are the last ones you want running the schools.

All it takes for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.

Many moons ago I found the Microaggression pdf from several so-called ‘Universities’ stating that ‘I do not see color when I look at a person’ is now racist and grounds for discipline and re-education, to ‘get your mind right.’

To see some examples, use your favorite search engine and enter “microaggression pdf.” Or, “microaggression pdf (and the name of the university).”

“...to reprimand white people, calling them racist and uninformed. They are “upholding” white supremacy, she said.”

Racist for quoting King?

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

There are others that make Schwinn a racist and totally uninformed with her above statement.

The worst form of inequality is to try to “make” unequal things equal. Aristotle

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual. Thomas Jefferson

Democracy... is a charming form of government, full of variety and disorder; and dispensing a sort of equality to equals and unequals alike. Plato

But the real topper belongs in my lifetime:

If we cannot now end our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity. John F. Kennedy

Diversity is the recognition of differences and doesn’t always strive to reduce or correct them. Just to toss them into the pot then put them on the back burner until they are needed again when they can be reshaped to fit the agenda. So what is Kennedy trying to create the opportunity for? Differences not likenesses. And one of the words representing undiversity according to Roget’s 21st Century Thesaurus is forced compatability. Thus conflict.

Cultural appropriation is changing fairy tales written by white Danes and Germans (Hans Christen Andersen, the Brothers Grimm) Making the characters to be of color when they obviously were NOT.

Then crying racism when people complain.

So Martin Luther King was a racist? He must be if quoting him is racist!

Well, if he is a racist then we ought to cancel him. Tear down that MLK memorial in Washington, DC!

(But leave the streets named after MLK. The names serve a very good purpose.)

THIS crap . . . is why it would be good for states to have a electoral college style system (county-by-county) for statewide elections and also why it would be good to overturn Reynolds v. Sims.

Why in the world should the ENTIRE STATE of Minnesota suffer under the dominance of leftoid politics like these in the Twin Cities, which cover but a small portion of the state?

An advice columnist named Amy Alkon refers to this state of affairs as “unearned power over others.” That’s what these people are trying to do: obtain unearned power over others.

What if someone said that Black people who drive cars, use electricity, and own iphones are guilty of cultural appropriation?

Every year for I think 15 years before I retired from the university I attended the all day Martin Luther King Day observances. Voluntary, sort of.

One of the educational sessions had a young professor in front of a white board and a screen for PowerPoint. She showed a line from Dr.King about all Americans deserve equal treatment under the law regardless of race or ethnicity.

She said: “In Dr.King’s day that would have been considered a good thing to say. Today it would be racist. It totally ignores the equity needs for black people to be treated differently than others to make up for past injustices.”
