Had the opportunity to listen to the candidates running against Baron Hill today. Was favorably impressed with Chris Redmon.
Chris is currently a Commercial Airline Pilot (see his web page), was a US navy Pilot, has a degree in Business. He presents himself very very well and would pull some of the conservative democrat votes.... a must in beating Baron Hill. For more information and his stand on issues go to his web page www.Redmon2002.com

TOPICS: Indiana; State and Local; U.S. Congress
KEYWORDS: baronhill; chrisredmon
An Indiana native, Christopher A. Redmon was raised in a single-parent home. He and his two brothers enjoyed an energetic childhood participating in activities such as scouting, and cross country track. These and his church activities engendered in Chris a strong desire to serve his country.

At the age of seventeen, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he immediately displayed an aptitude for working in the field of nuclear energy. As a result, he was given positions of increasing responsibility until he was awarded a position as instructor at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories and assigned to serve aboard the USS Sturgeon fast attack nuclear submarine.

Chris aspired to more than what he could achieve as an enlisted serviceman and he never abandoned his dream of obtaining a college education and becoming a military pilot. He enrolled at the State University of New York and by taking correspondence courses and attending evening classes, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, while dedicating most of his time to the Navy and his young family.

Upon completion of his degree, Chris was accepted to Aviation Officer Candidate School where he graduated first in his class with Distinguished Naval Graduate Designation. Chris again accepted the position of instructor. As a top pilot, he taught student naval aviators during Operation Desert Storm. He advanced to the position of Pilot Evaluator in the Navy's Fleet Air Reconnaissance squadron and served in this capacity until he completed his military service in 1995.

Immediately following his military career, Chris took a job flying the world’s most advanced aircraft, the Boeing 777, on international routes. He continues to excel as a pilot, enjoying an unblemished safety record after 12 years and over 9,000 flight hours.

Chris now resides in Bloomington with his wife Rena Barnes Redmon and their four sons Daniel, Alex, Joshua, and Nick. Rena volunteers at a local elementary school and also teaches classes at the YMCA. The Redmon children participate in many activities including athletics and scouting; the two eldest have received Eagle Scout honors. Daniel is currently an Air Force ROTC cadet at San Diego State University. Chris continues to serve his community by volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, local schools, and as an administrator in his church congregation. In his free time Chris enjoys running, racquetball, fishing, camping, and traveling with his family.

Baron Hill doesn't bug me that much for a dem. He's pro-2a.

That said if Redmon is pro-2a, I'd back him. Hill still votes for Gephart as speaker, Conyors as judiciary chair, and Waxman as commerce chair.

That's why I will not vote dem at the federal level outside of a primary race. Period.

CHeck out his web site.www.REdmon2002.com Not only is he Pro 2A, His brother is currently a green baret serving in the Phillipines. I think you will also be impressed by HIS military background.
If you check out the Indiana page on FR, you'll see some wavering in Hill's stance. I've know Baron for a long time. He'll tell you whatever you want to hear, and then do what will get Baron ahead!
