Zogby was giving his thoughts this week as a DemocRAT so you can probably take his poll with a grain of salt!

Well, I doubt Thune is ahead, but he probably isn't dropping anymore. Bush came through with some draught pork. I hope Thune does better in the remaining debates than the one I saw. I still think it is only the GOP's 4th best change of a pickup.

Thanks for another great article PKM!
Torie - any thoughts on the Wellstone/Coleman race in MN?

Somewhere I read that Thune is running ads attacking Tim Johnson's vote against the original Gulf War Resolution. I don't know any details, but hopefully that, combined with the drought aid will get Thune some traction. I'm generally on the same page with you, though... I never thought SD was the slam dunk a lot of people believed it to be.

I sent an online donation to Thune a short time ago. All freepers might think about doing the same. Today has been an outrage and we can send a real message to daschle by defeating his little buddy, Johnson.

I always like the GOP chances there. That is their second most likely pickup IMO, and I think Coleman is a slight favorite. Coleman is a credible moderate, Wellstone is an incredible liberal, and Minnesota is trending towards the GOP in general.

Little buddy Johnson! LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for donating!
Thanks Torie, I appreciate the thoughts. (And the fact that I like them helps too).

Daschle Dem Watch Ping List. Please support JOHN THUNE'S CAMPAIGN. It's time for Tim and Tom to go. What was that today? Who's going to do an impersonation of Linda Blair tomorrow? Dick Gephardt? The DNC has a next at bat list to try to get President Bush's popularity to wane.
First, it was Clinton, then at bat was Algor, next up - Daschle. Then Senator Byrd. (all based on a hypothetical from the Washington Post) I guess it depends on the meaning of the word "if".
If Gephardt or Lieberman is next at bat, give FV a thumbs up. THEY ARE PLAYING GAMES WITH OUR HOMELAND SECURITY - they sure proved it this past month!

"New Poll Shows Thune with Five Point Lead"
Excellent news...and considering RINO Sen. Jawn Wahnah is running unopposed and I wouldn't support him anyway, I think I will make Thune my Senate candidate of choice this year and send him some $$!!
Keep up the great work, PKM...yer makin' a strong push fer FReeper of the year!!
To: Mudboy Slim
Thanks Mud! You are a dear!
And mega thanks for the contribution! I have a hunch a contribution to Thune will go a lot farther buying time in SD than it would have for Warner.
BTW, wish Warner would have hung it up!

Thanks much! This Sooner fan is doing the same thing!
I still think it is only the GOP's 4th best change of a pickup.
I see you have Wellstone at #2, who are the first and third most likely GOP pickups in your opinion?

"...wish Warner would have hung it up!"
Yeah, me too...VA GOPers have six years to make sure that this is his last term!!
"VIRGINIANS FOR THUNE!!!"
Yep...Send Dasshole a Message!!!
Talent over Carnahan. The latter's problem is her relative incompetence versus one of the smartest nominees the GOP has mustered this cycle. If only Talent had a more folksy style and was not a corporate urban St. Louis lawyer (St. Louis is not the best place to be from when running statewide in Missouri; heck they pronounce the name of the state "correctly," while the provincials all say "Missoura"). Maybe she can hide it until election day, maybe not, but that is what makes this race a tossup.

I'm starting to believe in Forrestor's chances, then again it is Joisey.
But then I fear we will go and let Texas slip away for Kirk. Is that fear of mine realistic?
posted on 09/25/2002 8:53:12 PM PDT
No. If it happens, just get drunk and watch a porno movie. It will be a horrible night for the GOP. I am assuming you favor the GOP. Most that don't have been banned. LOL.
