It is important to understand how false the "Opinion Polls" that "The Media" uses in their broadcasts really are. I submit that the usual quote of "3 to 5 percent error" is an error of sampling PRECISION. The error for ACCURACY is at least 60 percent. My reasoning is as follows: 1.) "The Media" asks only those people who THEY think are likely to vote. 2.) According to the pollster Zogby, 60 percent of those asked refuse to be polled.

The purpose of this post is to solicit the ACTUAL opinions of FREEPERS as to what the reasons are for voting in the November, 2002 USA Election. Send a message to the political parties, candidates, voters, non-voters, whomever! Now is the time to register YOUR true opinion!

I will vote for any Republican on the roster, except for the rhino who represents my district.

If I don't like who is representing me the vote is the hire, fire way it's done here in America.

I vote because it is my chance to influence our government and society.

Even if I vote for a candidate who doesn't have a chance of winning, enough of those votes would have an influence if more people would vote. In the 2000 election, Karl Rove expected 19 million religious conservatives to support President Bush, but only 15 million actually cast those votes. The combined total for Pat Buchanan and Howard Philips was much less than half a million. Where did the other 3.5 million go? I can only assume that they didn't vote or that some even voted for Algore. I think both of those strategies are counterproductive. If those 3.5 million voters had voted for Mr. Buchanan or Mr. Philips, it would have been a huge story. If even a thousand or so were in Florida and had voted for Algore, their voting for Mr. Buchanan would have prevented the recount debacle and made the strong conservative showing the biggest story of the election. I rarely cast a true protest vote, but even when I do, I see it as important.

Typically, I vote Republican. I've voted for a few independents and third party candidates. In some local races, I've voted for Democrats, particularly when party is not shown on the ballot.

Tomorrow, I'm voting for Republicans in our US House and US Senate races. I haven't found anything that says that we have a state legislative race. I'm voting for a Republican district judge candidate, but I don't think the ballot will show party in that race.

My reasons to vote

I am a conservative, and I support President Bush. But most important to me is getting rid of the liberal agenda. I am alarmed at the extreme changes for the worse, that have developed because of the Clinton-Gore corrupt administration.

Hopefully, tomorrow there will be enough Conservative voters to vote in the Conservatives that are running for office in our Republic.

Have you found it difficult to convince your friends to vote even if the candidate will probably lose?

Yours is a difficult choice: a crook or a RINO? You are not alone in that dilemma.

"Voting gives me the right to complain." was listed by both of you. Would you agree that voting is the ONLY complaint that politicians really listen to?

Voting is a responsibility, not voting is not an option.

I will vote straight Republican, I am on the Campaign Committee of the Republican Candidate for Governor, and have done what I could to help the candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, and Atty General. With one exception the Repbulicans on the ballot here are all good. The exception is my state rep, he is to the left of most Democrats. That line will be left blank.
I will vote no on all initiatives, because they are all bad, especially the Soros funded ones.

It is all well and good to vote a straight GOP ticket. How should the RINOS on the ballot be dealt with? RINOS get into office as Republicans, but they later on vote with the democrats.

Actually, it did make me smile to picture all of us tomorrow, holding our collective noses and voting for the RINOs, idiots and malcontents that litter the campaign trail.

"That line will be left blank." That blank line will be a duly cast ABSTAIN vote. That vote will not be counted. Only in the U.S. Congress are ABSTAIN votes counted. As in Europe, elected U.S. officials have more rights than those who elect them.

To be more precise, your ABSTAIN vote might be reported in a newspaper as a "machine error" or due to "voter confusion."

"Judge appointments." Would you mind expanding on that topic a little?

I see the ad, but what are your reasons for voting?

I share your vision, but with less than 50 percent of the voter age population taking the opportunity to vote, our Republic elects officials with only a 25 percent vote total of the voter age population. Witness the two sick willy National Elections.

You seem to have high hopes for the ones that you vote for. I hope that, after the election, that they do not compromise away what they promised to do while campaigning for your vote.

This is how you deal with them: you vote for them because they are NOT Democrats. And you pray for the best. You pray that once they are in office and WE HAVE CONTROL OF THE SENATE, they'll fall into line.

That's the best we can do -- unless you're prepared to let the Democrats destroy this country, which is EXACTLY what they have in mind.

"How should the RINOS on the ballot be dealt with?"

For the US Senate, this time anyway, vote for a RINO because they will cast one important vote that they will get right - that for Senate Majority Leader.

For the other races, vote your conscience, but remember that a RINO is better than a DINO (e.g. a Hillary Clinton or Paul Wellstone Communist/Socialist masquerading as a Rat). All the -INOs are to the left of their alleged party.

"they'll fall in line" is a bit vague. Would you mind expanding on how that will be done? Or, perhaps, a better way to convert RINOS into Republicans?
