A BILLIONAIRE homebuilder, the movie producer of "Animal House," a pair of big-city Democratic mayors, and a flame-throwing anti-tax leader -- you can't get much more inclusive and California-flavored than Arnold Schwarzenegger's 65-member transition team.

But how influential this crew will be is unknown. Are they window- dressing or a real kitchen cabinet?

Take a lesson from GW Bush, you cannot buy any good will from these people.

"Notable among the missing is his hard-right recall rival, state Sen. Tom McClintock. "

It's payback time. Tom and the conservatives could have positioned themselves to have it all - influence, a Senate seat. But because they were hardcore Holier-Than-Thou, now they just get to be losers.

The thing to watch will be his appointment for Chief of Staff.

Wish you weren't right.

But you are.

Except I wouldn't even call it "payback." I'd just say it's hard to argue with the sense of not putting someone on your team whom you already know to be a backstabbing non-team-player.

Didn't he vote for McClintock?

So far Arnold has just set up a transition team... there is no telling how many of these folks he will keep on board.

Michael Moore?

Arnold's groupies would cheer even more loudly than they did for Willie Brown.

One of the things Gov-Elect Arnold needs to get informed of is gun control.

Lets all of us send him a copy of one of John Lotts books, or a plea to read them. He is saying he will be a governor of the people, lets catch him early and educate, inform and lobby as to what is important to us.

If he recieves 10,000 copies of the same book, or plea to read it, it will make an impact.

I heard an interesting comment on a morning talk show. This dream team was not going to have any meetings. It was a diversion tactic, these people are in the news and their egos stroked, they had no power to do anything. Anyone hear this?
