What are Al Gore and Terry McAuliffe doing in Taiwan? Or Caption these pics

Al Gore just made a "whirlwind" visit to Taiwan to give a talk at a security and technology conference. Here he is arriving:

......
He was able to hobnob with the President, Chen Shui-bian, and Vice- President, Annette Lu, of Taiwan at the conference.

.....

Amazingly coincidentally, DNC Chair Terry McAuliffe was in Taiwan at the same time!!! Here is McAuliffe meeting with Taiwan's President.

.....

Links to articles about their visits. Gore and McAuliffe.

Gore and McAuliffe happen to go at the same time? Are these dems on an East Asia fund raising tour?

I see NO reason for the Chairman of the DNC to be meeting with Taiwanese officials. None.

Therefore, I think he is either getting illegal campaign cash or fomenting some sort of skulduggery, as you said. (Gore being there led me to that belief.)

The only other reason would be to see if he can hid out there until the wrath of the Rats in California is calmed a bit.

Some scullduggery to undermine the president no doubt.

That is exaclty what I think. Exactly. These people never do anyting on the up and up.

Here's more. Next month Clinton and McAuliffe both go to Korea.

It's fund raising shakedown time.

Korea Times

October 14, 2003, Tuesday

HEADLINE: Bill Clinton to Visit Korea Nov. 13-15

Former United States President Bill Clinton will visit South Korea from Nov. 13-15 at the invitation of SBS, a spokesman for the broadcasting service said yesterday.

Clinton, who last visited here in 1998, is scheduled to give a televised speech on Nov. 14, timed to coincide with the station's 13th anniversary, he added.

''His speech is likely to evolve around the current North Korean crisis. I think he will stress the importance of a dialogue-based North Korea policy he pursued while in office,'' the spokesman also said.

A courtesy call to President Roh Moo-hyun could take place on Nov. 14, and a separate meeting with South Korean children is scheduled during his stay here.

SBS has also invited U.S. Democratic Party Chairman Terry McAuliffe, who will arrive here on Nov. 15 to give a televised speech on his personal and his party's views on the current North Korean nuclear crisis.
