[history]
USA Today, like other media outlets, insist on saying Terri is "comatose." Note how the article says they are "letting her die," rather than starving her to death. Amazing.

Great. We are now voting on whether people should live or die. Will the next ``reality show'' be one where we vote on who should die? The show that will last a 1000 years. Should Joe, a retarded man, be allowed to live? Should Jane, who holds opinions we deem offensive be allowed to continue breathing?
To: nickcarraway
Actually, this vote is over criticism of the judge's decision.
Let me ask you the question this way: Is it okay for the elite to decide on who should live and who should die?

She has been no more alive than a turnip for over ten years Have you gone to the website and seen the clips of this so-called "turnip" sitting up and smiling and moving her eyes in response to commands?

Forced Feeding is a form of life support. Really? Its no differnet than nursing a helpless baby. But I dare not ask your views on such "burdens" to families.

It was her choice. There is zero evidence to the contrary, or one of the many courts to hear this matter would have replaced her husband with another guardian. Gossip and rumor are not evidence.

There is zero evidence to the contrary Actually there is zero evidence that she wanted this. It was the word of her parents and everyone who knew her well verses the word of her abusive husband who has everything to gain and nothing to lose by her death.

In the interest of our respective taglines, are your views fully consistent with Barry Goldwater? Goldwater was an overt and avid supporter of Planned Parenthood later in his career. (IIRC, his wife was an officer in that group.)
Can you tell me if his views were also consistent with that organ's beginnings in eugenics and racism under Margaret Sanger? For the record, how much of their earliest thinking remains with you?
