Time To Engage God's (America's) Enemies

Time To Engage God's (America's) Enemies

It has been said that all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to stand by and do nothing. It's time for Christians to pull our heads out of the sand and take a stand.

One man in California has the Supreme Court of this land now reviewing whether the phrase "under God" should be removed from our Pledge of Allegiance. The Chief Justice of State of Alabama cannot have a display of the Ten Commandments on courthouse property, despite that they are commonly acknowledged to be the basis for all of Western Law. A high school in Louisiana is being sued by the ACLU for saying prayers before football games.

The Liberal Secular Extremists cite the mythical "wall of separation" clause... which appears nowhere in our Constitution.

This is a war, and it is a war to remove every mention of God from every corner of American public life. The goal here is not to enforce our Founders' intent in having written the Constitution, rather it is to eradicate the single source of goodness, truth, and justice (and all of our Constitutionally listed rights...!) the world has in its possession... the Holy Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If indeed our Rights as enumerated in our Constitution are inalienable—that is, cannot be taken from us—because, as our founders wrote, they are granted to us by God the Creator Himself, what praytell becomes of those "Rights" once God is forbidden His rightful place... or even any place... in our society or Government?

If the Christians in America, a nation founded by Christians upon the solid rock of the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, do not fight back with everything God has blessed us with, then we are giving victory to an evil which intends to consume us. We are allowing the immoral to dictate the terms to the moral, and that is then game, set, and match.

There is far more at stake here than whether Washington was a Deist, or whether one sentence from Jefferson's letter to some guy in Connecticut should be used to supersede and reinterpret our entire Constitution. These are not valid arguments, and The Library of Congress has extensive documentation available online which dispels any such deceit.

http://lcweb.loc.gov/exhibits/religion/religion.html

For this war to have gotten to the advanced stage where it now sits on our doorstep and snarls at us like the Hounds of Hell unleashed is the fault not of the minions of Satan who merely do the bidding of their vile master, rather it is the fault of every Christian in this once God-fearing nation who has sat idly by and hoped it would go away.

It is not going to go away. It is coming for us... in our homes, our schools, our places of work and our places of worship. It is time to take a stand and speak the Truth. Then speak It again. And again.

Inasmuch as this conflict, for the time being, remains a war of ideas and ideology, it is still possible to fight it just by speaking out, by letting the Holy Spirit within us move our hearts and tongues to take a vocal and unrelenting stand for what is right.

Whether our discourse in this matter offends some Muslims or Krishnas is not at issue. It is, in fact, a non-issue, and has no place in our deliberations. It is a diversion concocted by those who hate God.

The only issue here is whether our discourse offends God. We can pray that it lifts Him up in praise and glorifies Him, for that in the only way that we will succeed in our quest.

We must raise an outcry that reaches not only to the ACLU, not only to our schools, not only to the courts, not only to the Congress of the United States...

...but one which reaches straight to Heaven, for it is there, and there alone, where all hope for mankind—and America—lies.

May God give us His will, the strength to fight this good fight.

I think individual freedom is more important. I am of the opinion that without individual freedom to choose to do evil, a man cannot be called good. I do not believe you can pass moral judgement against an evil act in an oppressive society because I consider freedom the basis of morality, not the other way around.

I will clear this up fast. Just answer these three simple questions: Where do your freedoms come from? Where do your rights come from? Where does right and wrong come from?

Our founders clearly stated that morality comes from religion and ONLY from religion. The humanist manifesto even laments the fact that you can't have morality without religion.

"America has never been a paragon of virtue."

Is that your excuse? Do you think that will cut you some slack as your stammered explanation when you face God at Judgement? Think about it... or not. It's your eternity. :-)

I can't read his motives, and I can't put myself in 1790.

I thought that one of the biggest things that conservatives criticized the left for was wanting to be judged based on intent rather than results.

"I see - you can't respond with any arguments of SUBSTANCE, so you resort to insults and SLANDER. It shows your LACK OF INTELLIGENCE. "

Hey - you're the one who said that all (sic) "bon-Christians" aren't fit to govern due to their lack of a moral compass.

If the jack boot fits...

Well, some Christians are exceptions to your rule that all Christians have this wonderful morality and desire peace and God's love for all. Every Klan member thinks he's doing God's work...every dollar stolen from good people by "Christian" televangelists is a black mark against your pious arguments.

Who is the bigot? You stereotype of Christians shows that you are an anti-Christian bigot. Take ahike Bigot - I'm through giving you history lessons. Go get an eduma-cation.

I would rather burn in Hell than go to the Heaven of any major religion. If the God of the Old Testament is the true God then I'm sad to say that the Devil (obviously he would exist then) may be more of a victim of propaganda than truth.

Excessive baiting and disruption is not a sign of intelligence. It's actually a cry for help, and when you're ready to receive that help, Jesus will still be right there.

Yo.

You remind me of those people on the freeway who cut you off, then flip you off, because they feel real safe in their little cocoon. I'll bet you have a bumper sticker on your car that says, "horn broke, watch for finger." Don't you?

When it comes to historical knowledge, you have been tested and found wanting. Go get your eduma-cation. This is my last post to you.

Where do your freedoms come from?

The lack of anyone being born with a right to rule their neighbor which resulted in a government that had to be based on the consent of the governed and only said consent. No one was born with a right to control me, the only time then that any controls can be legitimately placed on me are to keep me from doing harm to my neighbor or his/her property.

Where do your rights come from?

See above.

Where does right and wrong come from?

The Will of God as observed through the laws of nature.

"Short of pretending to believe in something that I do not, what would you have me, an atheist, do? "

According to exmarine's comment below, as an atheist, you aren't fit to govern...

exmarine: "That's right. John Jay said we should "prefer and select ONLY Christians" as our leaders. Argue with him. Was he wrong? The reason he said that is bon-Christians do not have truth, do not have the moral compass (relativism is the only other option), and therefore cannot be trusted to govern according to absolute moral principles (which they do not recognize - their authority is man). I don't care if you don't like it. Having Christians as leaders does not mean we have a theocracy as our founders we all christians and that was not a theocracy. I will vote for Christians only and I will urge everyone else to do the same within my influence. Sue me. Sue John Jay's descendants. If a majority vote for such a man, what can you do about it? You will be better off as Christians don't try to STEAL other people's rights like secular humanists do. It is only because of the Christian worldivew that you live in this free land. Enjoy it - it will not last the way things are going!"

"where Christ in the manger is no longer allowed at Christmas Nativity displays"

While I personally have no problems with Nativity scenes, it should be noted that there are no menorrahs, Fat Buddhas, or multi-headed Hindu gods on public display either.

You have to look at the whole man and the whole basket of fruit. Clinton was rotten in every way. John Jay was good in many many ways - he did much good, and he was a man of honor. Clinton was a vile miscreant. If you can't see the difference, I can't help you. Some founders had blind spots on some things (like slavery) because all men are sinful and all men fall short, however, God blessed them and this nation anyway because they honored Him. You and I have blind spots too - because we are sinners.

IN fact, it is because of the sinfulness of man that we have 3 branches of government and an electoral college. Just as power cannot be trusted with one man, the majority cannot be trusted to rule directly. They said it over and over. YOu can thank them for your freedoms. Freedom is rare in this world, and the only notable freedom in modern times came with the Reformation which tranformed northern Europe and the USA.

"I do not believe you can pass moral judgement against an evil act in an oppressive society because I consider freedom the basis of morality, not the other way around."

From the law comes a knowledge of transgression (sin).

" (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)" Romans 2

I've read your posts in this thread, and I cannot discern in terms of action, what your side is all about. It's obvious that you're a Christian and that you faith runs deep. Kudos, congrats, hoorah.

Now, that being said, what is it you want? As an atheist, I want to know what it is you want? Last time I checked, I was content to let Christians be Christians so long as they let me hold to my beliefs. What's so wrong with that?

No thanks, I'll give my thanks to liberals like Locke who built an individualistic interpretation of Christianity on top of protestant views. They, not people like Calvin, are the ones who created the intellectual basis for our system of government.

"You stereotype of Christians "

'you stereotype'? You, friend, need the education. Perhaps there you will learn that my phrase that clearly says "some Christians are exceptions..." does not and cannot mean "all Christians", which is the definition of stereotype.

Being an exmarine, I'm sure you took many hikes in boot camp. Take another one now, Gomer.

Nope- I don't put anything on my car. Not even a "semper fi" sticker.

"When it comes to historical knowledge, you have been tested and found wanting. Go get your eduma-cation. This is my last post to you. "

Your complete lack of historical knowledge is deep and profound. Many of the Constitutional authors were deists. John Jay -- your hero -- was a complete Klan-like religious bigot.

Go listen to Dr. Laura, that beacon of Hypocrisy and bad porn photos. Your uneducated opinion is pointless here.

Libertarian answer, and it's wrong. I think you need to read where the founders got their ideas for government and why they chose the form of government they did. YOu would have NO RIGHTS without Reformation Christianity, and an evil ruler doesn't care about your God-given rights - he would just kill you the first time you complained. (John Calvin was perhaps the true founder of America.)

See above.

Well, the Decl. of Indep. says they come form OUR CREATOR. Who is right? You or the founders?

The Will of God as observed through the laws of nature.

Nature doesn't work. Nature is both cruel and non-cruel. Is cruelty okay? You can't make conclusions about morals from nature. When the founders talked about "Laws of Nature" they didn't mean the humanistic nature, they meant the laws that come from Nature's God. They got it from Puffendorf, Montesquieu, Grotius and Rutherford (Lex Rex) and these men were all Christians

If right and wrong come from God, do you think God cares if you don't take right and wrong seriously? Or is He just an indifferent God? Did God just wind up the clock and step back - deism?

You wrote to JIMT:

"You do not understand that there is a battle waging in this country between secular humanism and Christianity."

This satanic mouthpiece undertstands that perfectly. He also understands that this post was a plea to Christian Freepers to make their voices heard.

He continues to engage on this thread only so that his putrefacted drivel can dominate and cloud the Christian responses I asked for.

On a recent (lying) post he claimed that no futher discussion with him would be necessary. I say we honor his request, despite his inherent inability to honor either my request or his own dishonest proclamation.

Remember, we are exhorted to discern between true evangelism, and casting pearls before swine. ;-/
