Is there a list of movies with neutral politics, or a pro-conservative slant?

The only big name that makes 'conservative' movies is Mel Gibson and now he is being maginalized for a movie that hasn't even been edited yet.

The Mystic River mistake is all those close-ups of Penn in the movie trailers.

Sean Penn's career peaked in "Fast Times and Ridgemont High".

"John Grisham is a comitted Leftist. He left the practice of law to write full-time,
and there seems to be some rule in H'wood that makes it mandatory to make his books into movies."

Per Dennis Miller:
Hey, get this. I thought we'd talk about the nine Democrats running for the presidency. I wanna get this commentary in now before this über neuftet quickly goes the way of the Tucker.

You know, the good thing about an empty-headed scrum is that nobody can actually suffer brain damage if they get kicked in the melon, and, trust me, when these guys get together it's like a Pez dispenser seance.

"John Edwards is just a poorly-drawn John Grisham character."

The list of movies I have seen or will see is getting shorter and shorter. Before I took my grandson to see NEMO, I checked the voiceovers and to my amazement, there was Ellen DeGeneres. So much for NEMO.

The leftists are leeping like lemmings to their doom. The kookier they get and the more outraged that they get at President Bush and conservatives, the more they are turning off the fence sitters; the people who didn't understand "all that fuss" about the Vichy Chicks statements in Europe.

Red Asner slammed Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity in the same interview in which he said that he would like to portray Uncle Joe Stalin because he was a "misunderstood man". Maybe he should re-evaluate his own understanding of the conservative talk show hosts. They have less blood on their hands than Joseph Stalin or even Teddy Kennedy.

Of course, Hollyweird's very obvious silence regarding President Clinton's abuses of power (let's start with Waco, Elian, and illegal Chinese Communist election contributions in exchange for military technology) are made much more obvious everytime they lash out at President Bush.

Actually the Lord Of The Rings movies contain lines that sometimes war is necessary to defeat evil. It's ironic because one of these lines is even spoken by one of the antiBush actors (others have expressed that they don't share his views).

Hi, Weeg! Yeah, that jumped out at me, both in the novels and in the movies. I'm convinced that it's one of the reasons they were so well recieved after 9-11.

BTW, Have you seen this thread yet? It's pretty funny, and I don't just say that because a lot of the posts there are mine.

Something that was a surprise to me, in the Children of Dune miniseries, was the scene in which R.M. Mohiam tells Princess Irulan to administer an abortifact to the pregnant concubine, Chani. Irulan has a shocked expression on her face and asks "You want me to kill the child?".

Another scene has Alia referring to her grandfather, the Baron Harkonnen, a "perverted old fool" for lusting after another man.

And even the wretched stars of LOTR are "coming out" against the war.

I consider the Tolkien trilogy some of the finest writing of the 20th Century. And his was based on his wartime experience.

WHat you're seeing is the Hollywood Left's total experience about war - nothing. They can make movies only about what they've done - drug use, infidelity, crime. NEVER anything about honor or victory.

What Mel Gibson movies would be considered "conservative"? I haven't gotten much of a message either way in his movies that I have seen. Thanks.

Mr. Conservative4Ever and I have not been to a movie in years. Refuse to support the liberal left and their nutty ideas. Not hard to boycott this film.

It's just a lot easier to assume everyone in Hollywood is a homosexual ultra-leftist DNC tool until they prove themselves otherwise.

I know what you mean. You can't expect them to be sane. All I expect from them is to not publicly insult me or my beliefs. They can be Greenie -weenies for all I care. Same about anyone I do business with, really.

The quote by Ed Asner about him admiring Stalin was a misquote, and has since been corrected, even by Fox News.

You found nothing conservative about "The Patriot"??

Children holding guns! And acting like they knew how to use them! Oh, how the liberals swooned when they saw that.

If you're looking for something Limabugh-like conservative coming out of any major Hollywood release, fuhgeddabout it. It's not going to survive the editing room. But it is a little curious how these dumb bunnies of political correctness have characters that smoke cigarettes (gasp!) and shoot guns to defend themselves (double gasp!). It would be easy to call them hypocrites but they are just as hypocritical off screen as well.

Oh, yeah, I had completely forgotten about The Patriot. The only Mel Gibson movies I could think of were Conspiracy Theory and the one with Goldie Hawn, neither of which I've seen. Besides the Patriot, Braveheart, and two Lethal Weapon movies, all of which my brother is in, I don't think I've seen any Mel Gibson movies.

This is one of the absolute worse examples of propaganda. And they didn't even have the guts enough to let people know what this film was about. I'm just glad I dint't pay for this brainwashing session.

BTW, Lost in Translation was a great movie.
