Democrat Party supports and promotes, abortion, homosexuality, feminaziism, environmentalism along with government control over every aspect of our lives and society.

Socialized health care, disarmament of the American people, subjugation of the U.S. via the U.N.

Complete elimination of our national sovereignty along with the destruction of our basic traditional family unit.

Loss of personal freedoms and individual liberty.

In other words, complete destruction of our Constitution and Bill of Rights and our American way of life.

____________________________________________________________ The only people in the world that enjoy living under the condition you've described are from England and the rest of old world Europe.

Your analysis of our Government political direction is very concerning to many Americans similar to our founding fathers situations in 1775. Subjugate and Subjects are words of the aristocracy so perhaps their is a group of people with a 200-year-old grudge to satisfy. Someone who could pull our elected officials strings by proxy promising estates in the Americas and matching estates in Europe to divide and conquer our sovereign counrty.

OR

It could be Hollywood, The Media, Corporations and any group of people just out to make a buck and destroy America for profit. Anyway you look at these problems Jim, your vision to inspire and bring people together with the same goals our founding fathers had will help keep America a Free Republic for now and in the future.

Good Luck and God Bless.

Had to step out for a bit, but back to business for a bit... :-)

Bob,

"Libertarian" and "Homey" aside, let me try to rephrase the Q in a way you might understand:

Although "letting [Republicans] know you will support them through thick and thin even though you don't agree with them 100%" may "give pubs some spine" (and I'm not convinced that's even true), how does this not encourage greater unaccountability?

I can handle a Bushbot - but a suck-up - never.

You can? Really? Wow, first person I have seen say that!

Don't mean this in an ugly way, but perhaps he really is that person's hero. Isn't it okay anymore to have them? Kind of sad if we can't.

I love my country dearly and do not wish to see it destroyed by any enemy, foreign or domestic, and this includes terrorists, socialists, communists, anarchists, nazis, liberals, democrats or anyone else.

I believe we are at a turning point, on the cusp, that the Bush Presidency is a reprieve only and that if we as a nation do not wake up, and grow up, the abyss awaits. 9/11 was Wake-Up Call #1. Will there be another? Do we need another? It is the future of our children and grandchildren that is at stake and I share your deep concern. For them, not for myself. "Things as they are", "normancy", the way we believe things "always have been and always will be" could change quickly. For the worse. I agree that we must act.

Democracy is a bad thing.

Well, it is. The only people who see it as a good thing are those who have no clue about what the word actually means. It's meaning has all but been morphed into something to the point where the uneducated masses think it's interchangable with the word "Freedom", but that new definition is not really accurate.

Can I quote you on that?

Knock youself out, toots.

In The Federalist Papers Essay NO. 10, James Madison states that it is human nature for people to separate into factions and groups. These groups operate for the benefit of their respected members, and typically place the good of the people and nation as a whole behind their own. Imagine a nation full of groups only concerned with their own well-being. Much like a family divided against itself, such a nation would not last very long. Segments of society would be at war with each other constantly, hoping to “capture” the majority vote, and with it the reigns of control of the country. This would be a culture of convenience, where trust in others is non-existent, and people are peaceful only for fear of retribution from mightier factions. It would be a government always on the verge of collapse, a government so unstable that the slightest shift of alliances could send the whole structure tumbling down, only to be rebuilt on the same foundation of frailty that came before it. This is the definition of democracy.

Need I go on?

What do you propose republicans do about social security, Medicare, education or any other of the social programs we have when 70% of the nation is receiving benefits from at least one of them? I would posit that every family has one or more or all of its members receiving a benefit of some kind be it, Social Security, college aid, farm subsidy, mortgage interest deduction, child tax credit or something else. I would also wager that each of those would NEVER call what they are receiving a "handout". They may consider all the rest of the programs that way but not theirs.

The fact is that the only way for government to shrink under those realities is for the money to finally run out. The one thing the GOP can be counted on is to at least fight for tax reductions. It serves 2 purposes, it provides for a stronger economy and it makes less money available for all of those programs. It today's America, that is the most you can expect from any political party.

Another thouhtful reply, thank you!
on my theme, that ther are checks and balances. Why should the judiciary move at the same pace as the rest of the government. Imean we've had coservative courts during liberal administations. Your giving crecednce that hte courts have more power...
