Just out of curiosity, since there are those news agencies that are broadcasting the demonstrations (i.e. A.N.S.W.E.R.) against U.S. policies and the war in Iraq (and that many troops will feel is against them), why not have some of those same news agencies and others show up for your rallies for the troops. Our guys and gals overseas love seeing the support they have at home!!

C-SPAN has again picked sides and decided to show the ANSWER rally LIVE from 11 to 2. They have already posted the reruns on their weekend schedule. Unfortunately, we have heard nothing from C-Span about an intent to film the rally that will SUPPORT OUR TROOPS while those troops are defending the country and in harm's way. Maybe we'll be surprised on Saturday and a C-Span crew will show up. It could happen....but we won't hold our breath in the meantime.

Thanks for those who came out today or honked your horn in San Jose/Santa Clara for our "Support the Troops Holiday Care Package Drive & Rally"

We had over two dozen out there to demonstrate with us today. Three or four appeaseniks were present, apparently lost from their San Fransicko hatefest rally. Their presence was insignificant, though now they are actually displaying American flags along with their "peace" symbols (go figure).

We were shown on KNTV-11 and KDTV-14 6pm newscasts to counter the SanFran rallies.

At a counter-rally Saturday in San Jose, about 100 members of a group called Pro-America Spirit held up signs and collected gifts for soldiers in Iraq at the corner of Stevens Creek and Winchester boulevards.

Passersby filled two boxes of magazines and books and made about $1,000 in donations that will be used for care packages for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

``We need to remember the troops are still out there, whether we agree with it or not,'' said Renata Carico, who founded the group. ``We want to let the troops know we're rallying behind them.''
