He ruled that OUT.

He also RULED OUT negotiating the "Road Map" as long as the same terrorist leadership was in place. But as soon as Arafat appointed a supposedly moderate figurehead he jumped at the chance to start negotiating and pressuring Israel to make concssions. This despite the fact that there never was any real change in the leadership, and no real steps were taken to dismantle the terrorist infrastructe that is the PA.

This pattern will be repeated over and over again as long as Bush continues to listen to the foriegn policy establishment. He needs to buck them the way Reagan bucked them to win the cold war. A good place to start would be getting rid of Colin Powell and replacing him with Newt Gingrich. Hopefully Powell will quit after next year's election.

Heh. Sweet but unlikely to happen. Tom DeFrank reports Condie will replace Powell after the next election.

Nothing of any real importance
is happening between Bush & the
Palis, nor will it, unless they
jettison the Terror part of a
Pali TerrorState. Bush has told
Sharon this - gave his word.

He keeps his word.

The State Dept. bureaucrats are
clueless. Not sure about Powell...

Yet.

I notice this week he has spent more time repudiating General Boykin than he has the Malaysian PM, who spewed anti-semitic hatred last week...

Very good observation. Can anyone produce quotes by Dems that support this theory...my guess is that Dems running for President criticized Boykin but let the Malaysian PM slide. The Dems are our cross to bear but they are threatening my security and I hate them for that.

President Bush never includes these bloodthirsty suicidal/Jew-murdering types in his Islam comments, nor does his plan let them have their TerrorState. He ruled that OUT.

His speaches do, his road map doesn't. A clear contradiction.

Could this mean that Arafat's promise of peace for land was a lie?

If sane world leaders would condemn the rising anti-semitism with the fervor with which they defend "peaceful and tolerant" Islam, perhaps there would be less anti-semitism.

If the road map ends in a state, and terror continues, then the world will go even more berserk if Israel re-invades Palestine. There is no end unless and until a nonviolent movement breaks out among the Arabs. That will take at least another generation or two. In the meantime, build that wall and build it strong.

I don't buy that 59% number. If 80% believe in the right of return (and I find even that figure conservative), then 80% believe in continuing the terror after the founding of their own state.

A really interesting number is the 61% of Arab Israelis who support the killing of American G.I.s. For the Arab Israelis and so-called Palestinians alike, "America" and things American generally serve as a proxy for "Israel."

Unfortunately, you appear to have ended up in the middle of a LP-FR *issing contest over here, though you seem to be completely irrelevant to the battle. Just a topic of conversation.

To my knowledge Western Pa is home (in some degree) to the KKK (think they've sued Pittsburgh in fact), the Aryan Nations , World Church of the Creator , Church of the Sons of Yaweh (an AN offshoot), and apparently a National Alliance Chapter.

The idea that somehow Pittsburgh, or any major city, is free of hate groups (because they're not in the phone book?) is as laughable as saying they're not on the internet.

The whole gist of this thing is that our personal mail, our trust, our feelings, everything that made this site a good to go, have been violated and a moderators thread is supposed to be kept private. My name isn't the only name hanging out there. This is the most underhanded thing that people who are supposed to respect one another can have happen, and I don't care about their p*ssing contest. They certainly shouldn't be allowed to get away with using these underhanded tactics to cry wolf when the only one who has been cannibalized is Free Republic. Then the creature has the chutzpah to expect what from Jim?
She has hurt the mods, hurt Jim, splayed me, and I just ain't taking it.

As Arafat once boasted--> "I have killed people for my cause. If I am willing to kill for the cause you don't think I'm willing to lie?"

I don't know how much time he
spent on doing either one. I'll
never trust the Lib media to give
me a correct impression. As to
Boykin, he works for W, whereas
the other guy is a foreign leader.
They are apples and oranges to me.

I'm proud our Prez zinged the big-
mouthed Malaysian. Did any others
have the guts to do so?

As to radical Islam, he condemns
it every day - he just calls it
hatred, murder & terror, rather
than stoking the religion part.

When he compliments "Islam" he
specifically excludes that type.
Probably hopes to ally us with
several Islamic countries, like
in Africa, Asia, even the ME. So
he differentiates the types.

Many despise him for doing it.
They love to bash. And, to one &
all...............................

I KNOW WHAT THE KORAN SAYS.

I'd tend to agree, they have to accomplish it somehow. Most polls show about 20%-25% support for a one state solution now, as opposed to the two state (one islamic state, one secular state, Israel, to become islamic later), in which case the Jews are in the sea and right of return is irrelevant.

IMRA didn't publish the detailed results of this poll, but their last one doesn't look much different.

75% support the suicide attack at Maxim Restaurant in Haifa leading to the death of 20 Israelis.
58% would still support Hamas' decision to oppose the ceasefire
59% believe that current armed confrontations have helped the Palestinians
Evaluation of the US

For example, positive evaluation reaches 85% when evaluating American medicine, science, and technology, and reaches 74% when evaluating the status of gender equality, and 63% when evaluating the status of US economic conditions. Positive evaluation drops to 53% with regards to arts and entertainment, 53% with regard to freedom of press and expression, and 44% to democracy and respect for human rights. Positive evaluation drops further when it comes to treatment of minorities (17%), respect for religious freedom (27%), or foreign policy (23%).

As to a violation of trust, you'll get no disagreement from me, and it’s confirmation of the accusation made on various less savory sites that your Frmail isn’t necessarily private. Privacy should be respected, irrespective of whether there's a point to be made or not. In this case there seems to be no value, other than “exposing” what is essentially “chat” amongst the moderators, pure voyeurism.

Fifty-nine percent of Palestinians believe that Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad should continue their armed struggle against Israel even if Israel leaves all of the West Bank and Gaza, including East Jerusalem, and a Palestinian state is created, a new survey shows.

More evidence. I wonder if our US administration is watching this....
