El Al flight 105 to (Toronto - Los Angeles) has been diverted from Toronto to Montreal

Canadian Transport Min. David Collenette: Authorities had information of specific threat against El Al flight to Toronto

Israel Radio: Sources in Jerusalem say that it was an Al Queda threat on that aircraft.

Here are more details about this incident:

Israeli intelligence had information that terrorists were going to try shoot down with missiles the El Al plane during its take off or landing. This was passed quickly to the Canadian government which notified the airfield. El Al quickly landed in Montreal.

El Al does not take any chances when such threats exist, an El Al spokesperson said.
