She could be feeding herself and possibly able to communicate in a rudimentary manner.Or she might be communicating with a computer through a straw like Stephen Hawking and writing best selling books about what it is like to be an abused wife and a speechless victim of attempted murder by her husband and a godless pro-death judge.

How many pet owners do you know that try to sustain thier pets via feeding tubes, when their poor health has left them unable to move and to eat?
The term "putting it out of its misery" when referring to an animal is generally taken sadly, but positively - as the proper thing to do. It seems that many here take great delight in trying to sustain Terri Schiavo's misery.

Lawyer is/was Hospice Board Member. Lawyer promises Man that Wife will die at the Hospice...I remember when hospice care was big news. Seemed like a great idea. Now I wonder if the movement was hijacked by lawyers and medical providers to engineer embezzlement scams, or if it was built from the ground up for that purpose. They always promised death with dignity; The nurses and aids who were diposed didn't tell a story that indicated dignity was a big concern, at least by management.
"Awright, Gram, into the cart!"
"But I'm feeling better!
"Y'not fooling anyone...you'll soon be dead. Off to hospice w'you!"
"Bring me my purse."
"No, no: y'won't be needing that."
Kind of like Planned Parenthood offers "Family Planning", Hospice offers "Death with Dignity"...offers dignity; guarantees death.
If there are hospice providers who are truly dedicated to their cause, they better push Jeb to dig out and imprison the wiesels who have set up the scam in FL. Including the judge.

Did the dirtbag husband just say that Terri did not want to go on if she was left in a vegatative state, or is there a living will because if there is not these bastard judges made a serious error in granting him the mandate to murder his former wife... As far as I know, there is NO living will, nothing in her handwriting expressing a wish to die or be starved to death. And she is still his wife, though he seems to not recognize this fact, except when he wants to for convenience of guardianship, in determining that she should die. jmo

Please check out all the catholic groups( an other church groups as well) that are pushing "social justice". Social justice is purely marxist, and its the antithesis of equal justice, upon which our Constitution was based. It is pretty clear that many catholic diocese have been infiltrated by the ultra-left communists who push social justice and are undermining the church and our society.

Please add me to the Terri ping list.
Thanks!

A better analogy would be a county animal shelter, and the attendants starving and dehydrating the captive animlas to death.
The leftist rhetoric and lack of action regarding Terri, juxtaposed with the one or two Priests who have come out in support of Terri's rights illustrates clearly the corruption within the Catholic Church. There are those still doing what they vowed to do and then there are those living off of the tithes of faithful Cathloics while serving their true father, the father of lies. Can anyone say 'end times'?

I'd really be curious to review the investigative reports generated when the initial injury was sustained.....especially in view of the presence of so many injuries.

I've seen recent videos of her laughing. And reacting to those around her. I've read sworn statements submitted by nurses to courts that say she is not a "vegatable". And that she reacts positively to those around her. I 've read statements from just this week where her dad said she responded to him.
Unlike an animal that has no soul she is a human being. Unlike an animal that is property she is not. Unlike an animal that may be put to sleep because the owner no longer wants to deal with the animal there are people willing to take care of her.
As far as her being "in misery" please prove that. And that anyone here wants to sustain the supposed "misery"
People are not animals. You might think they are but I don't. Thanks for helping me prove my point.

In America today, we have good murder and bad murder. This is what lawyers have done to the Law.

So, to take up your parable here, whose "pet" is Mrs. Schiavo?
Certainly not yours.
Your comment seems to imply that you see no essential difference between people and livestock. If that is the case, be prepared to earn your keep with the herders (whoever they may be).

It seems that many here take great delight in trying to sustain Terri Schiavo's misery. How do you know she's in misery? For that matter who isn't? She is said to be a Catholic. If she has awareness she can spend her time in prayer. If she were a Buddhist she could still do practice. She seems to enjoy visits from her mother.
Animals can't pray or ever have one thought of enlightenment or salvation even when they are healthy. When they are completely immobilized from injury or sickness they have nothing left but fear. That is not true of the human mind.

You vacuously asserted, The term "putting it out of its misery" when referring to an animal is generally taken sadly, but positively - as the proper thing to do. It seems that many here take great delight in trying to sustain Terri Schiavo's misery. Make up your empty mind, either she has awareness and thus should not be 'put down' or she has no awareness and thus has no 'misery. You 'killum and move on' twerps can't even maintain the trend of thought you raise to defend this gross miscarriage of Terri's Constitutional rights. That's the usual process with a litany of lies, with the goal of dehumanizing to defend destroying.

Original sin, Ted. And despair. Many people don't even think of their own lives as a gift - although they certainly consider them more valuable than other people's lives, especially if the other person is "in their way" in some fashion. Why did Cain kill Abel? Because he damaged Cain's self-esteem. Why do people kill unborn children, or shoot at drivers who turned in front of them without signalling? Solipsism - "nothing really exists except me."
Very well-said! It's the "all about me" attitude that has ruined society.
