The money Mexican workers in the United States send back to their home country is one of Mexico's largest sources of income.

This is the problem, right here. I keep saying that the only way the problem will be solved is to go after the employers. Make it painful enough and they'll stop hiring illegals.

Keep sending back the envelopes for campaign money marked HEAVILY with 'NO MONEY UNTIL YOU STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND ENFORCE OUR LAWS'. That's what I do, and advise everyone else to do. Call and write constantly, too. Send Karl the poll numbers and related articles - don't give up! I'm running out of Sharpie pens.

Well, Vicente Fox is going to be in the US next week; will be meeting with my Butch governor Tuesday, then will go to New Mexico, and will meet with the President later in the week to work out immigration issues.

He should work on making his country hospitable to his own people, instead of imploring us to conform to his wishes.

INFURIATING!!

I worked at the State Fair last week in the GOP booth and we literally could not keep Bush stickers; everybody wanted them.

A group of Mexicans came by and they all wanted Bush/Cheney stickers and kept saying "Viva Bush." So we said it back. Then they said "Viva Fox," and we said NOTHING.......LOL.

I've been active in my local Republican Outreach group; the thing is, I don't want to compromise our principles to pander to these people; I want them to join us BECAUSE of our principles.

Efrain Ramirez had a simple plan for avoiding capture. If immigration agents show up at the intersection in Carrboro where he often waits for work as a day laborer, Ramirez said, he won't stick around. "If they come, I'll run," Ramirez, 47, vowed Monday as he reclined in a lawn chair among a group of about 40 men waiting at the corner in hopes of finding work.

I saw we fire them!

The wages he earns in six or seven months here allow him to spend the rest of the year relaxing at his home on Mexico's Pacific Coast.

And Americans pay for his medical care while he's here, and he's probably working for cash and not paying taxes. Many Americans would like to be able to relax at the beach too, but we're too busy working to support this guy and his millions of buddies. Now I know why they call it the DREAM ACT. It's a NIGHTMARE for American taxpayers.

This is a GREAT idea, I get a ton of mail from the GOP and various candidates begging for money. I usually just trash them, I'm going to start doing this.

MKM,

Be sure they're marked "postage will be paid by the addressee".

I tear the contents of CC offers and the like to pieces, stuff the SAPP envelopes with the trash, and mail it back.

It keeps the "chain" going - don't you know?

Assuming that some candidate did run on a platform of taking control of our borders and claimed to be in possession of the cajones to do just that. In all probability, somewhere between the election and the swearing in ceremony, the electee will have misplaced those cajones.

I called INS to report that there were 40 day laborers hanging out on this corner in Carrboro. They took the report but, I wonder if they will do anything about it...

I suggest everyone call INS and call the report in. I volunteer to drive by at least once a week and see if they are still there. Then we call INS again....lets take back our country

I don't understand it either since polling shows 70% of the public support closing our borders and attempting to stop the illegal invasion.

Seems to me if someone did run on this platform they'd be a shoe in.

Unfortunately, no politician has the cajones.

I'm not sure if they're all cowards or whether they're all being bought and paid for by corporations with a vested interest in cheap labor. Their's a lot of powerful interests with deep pockets that want to see the wage scale as low as possible and the country's future be damned.
