I know what you mean. I'd hate to wake in the morning to the news it's gone.

Do you think they'll save Julian?

I hope and pray that they do.

It would be such a boost for the FF if they do. (Let alone a boost for the homeowners there!)

Doesn't sound like it. He said he'd take what he can, (whoever he is) and if not, oh well.

I sure hope so. East County's been hit hard enough already. All of California has.

Good News Sandyeggo: the brand new and gorgeous Catholic Church in Scripps Ranch was spared. St Gregory the Great is the name of the parish (the building and grounds are amazing). ;-)

Pine Hills, about 2-3 miles from Julian is/was a rustic, beautiful neighborhood in the trees. It also had a dinner theater up there at The Pine Hills Lodge, last time I checked. Sad night...

Not sure. They're live on the air. The footage is pretty horrendous and after this commercial they're going to talk up Sparky's Folly. Other than that, no real new news to tell.

1552 homes lost
522,000 acres burned
$2 billion dollars so far

"Areas of concern and intense hot fire,

Cuyamango, Julian"

Er, I think you mean Cuyamaca. :) Although I bet there's mangoes down there somewhere!

Might be charbroiled mangoes tonight, though... *sigh*

Drudge threads, brittney spears ho down threads, and now SoCal fire thread...

Called my aunt who lives in LA and she says the smoke smell and ash is atrocious. I suppose that's better than having ones house burned down though.

It is nice. If it burned, there would have been so many more homes destroyed. The church is in the middle of a very nice neighborhood.

Oh thank you hon. We'll get through this, don't you worry. Some of that rain sure would be great, though.

Put a towel nearby so when you fall asleep at the keyboard, the letters don't indent your forehead.
