Excerpted from the referenced article:
According to Variety magazine, the series is a production of Hallmark Entertainment, a subsidiary of Kansas City, Mo.-based Hallmark Cards Inc.
In a news release issued in August, Hallmark described the miniseries this way:
First Family: The Reagans From the bright lights of tinsel town to the Oval Office and the U.S. presidency this true story follows Ronald Reagan's (Emmy and Golden Globe winner James Brolin) rise to notoriety, celebrity and world power. The four-hour dramatic miniseries chronicles Reagan's years as a Hollywood movie star, his marriage to his devoted wife Nancy (played by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Judy Davis), his tumultuous role as a father of two, and the political controversies that plunged him into the darkest chapter of his presidential life.
A call by WND seeking comment from Hallmark Entertainment spokeswoman Beth Nussbaum was not returned.

Gee, a month or so ago we were told it was wrong, wrong, wrong for the ADL and other Jewish orgs to complain about Mel Gibson's movie of the Passion of Christ over scenes that they found offensive. No such restraint about purported - not even proven - scenes in this Reagan bio, even when (at least) some of the items complained of are supported by passages in Kitty Kelley's Nancy Reagan, and Patti Davis's First Family.

As a long-time purchaser of Hallmark products (especially their ornaments), I am sickened that they are the sponsors of this disgusting movie. Thanks for the link -- I have already sent them my thoughts and if the movie is aired as planned it looks like I will start saving a LOT of money since I will no longer shop at Hallmark!

Me-thinks Hallmark has alot to consider, considering Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner.

Because Gibson wanted to make the most accurate possible. He did not just make stuff up.
Here the CBS network is just making stuff up and leaving out parts.
Imagine the Passion of Christ without the last supper or the crucifiction or the rise. In their place you have christ saying rome is good, a flea market in the temple is a good thing.

Agreed. We usually buy a hallmark ornament for each one of our girls every year. Perhaps not this year. Comments sent.

Hallmark is also on the NRA's list of companies supporting gun control.
I'll be skipping my holiday visit to the Hallmark in the mall this year.

If this is true, halmark just stepped in big poop. Email's? Who ownes halmark?
To: Rightone
Thanks for the link, just submitted my displeasure. Buying products not made by Hallmark won't be that tough since there are numerous brands available. And can someone answer a simple question for me? Why in the world does a card cost three and sometimes four dollars? A CARD?!? Guess they have to pay the liberal arts majors more money to write them. I dunno....

I've always wondered that about cards, too! It's crazy! I usually buy the 99 cent cards only and still get my Gold Crown points.
I shop almost exclusively in Hallmark's gold crown stores because they do carry so many more items -- but I've just called the owners of both of those stores and told them I will NOT be doing business in their stores anymore IF this Reagan movie is aired and I know they took me quite seriously as I am a big spender in those stores and am also the president of both of their Keepsake ornament clubs!

Mel Gibsons movie is based on PROVEN FACT as presented in the Bible _GODS WORD! It does not slander Jews - Christ WAS a Jew! Those againts it slanted (or tried to slant) Gods Own Words! Non-practicing, non-faithful Jews and others were the only ones againts it!
The Hallmark sponserd bunch of kr*p they call Reagan is lies and innuendo meant to harm a Great Man and a Great President - it is LIBEL!
There are other cards and knick knacks I can buy that are not hallmark! HALLMARK is now on my boycott list!

Oh, boy!!!! Did I ever contact Hallmark!!!! We are Hallmark Shop owners and this is not to be tolerated! I have emailed the site you gave plus every single contact I have at Hallmark. Now I will start on phone calls and there will be no doubt that we do not appreciate the Hallmark Brand being associated with this piece of drek!!! They have NO right to destroy our name by dragging us into this!!!
I can't ask you to break the boycott as I feel this is the reason that there is even a consideration of not airing this thing! Please consider checking with your local Hallmark store before you boycott them - We are doing all we can, with you, to get this stopped and certainly don't need to lose your business in our privately owned shops. (The way Hallmark shops work is that they are our chief supplier but do not own us)
I am just sick!!! We are told constantly (rightly) that we are not to besmirch the Hallmark name and are called to high standards - what the heck is this? Certainly tarnishing the Hallmark name and so low that it can't even be called a standard. End of vent but this is just a sample of the message they are getting from me and many other shop owners!!! We are up in arms!!!

I don't buy anything from Hallmark. They are big supporters of the elite left. When I found out they were big supporters of the anti-gun movement, I ceased giving them any of my business.

That's great! If the shop owners get after them, they will really start to feel the pressure! You are doing a real service to President Reagan's memory.

I have great sympathy for you and other Hallmark store owners who are/were unaware of who and what Hallmark is.
You might also mention to them that their status as major gun-grabber supporters is hurting them PLENTY and will get worse as more people find out about them. I haven't bought anything Hallmark for quite a few years because of the 2nd A issue and I have told friends who are pro 2nd A about it. I assume they have passed the information on to their friends.
I'm very sorry that this hurts good people like you and who knows how many others, but if they don't change the causes they contribute to, they'll never see another dime from me or anyone I can convince either. If they do change their ways, tell them to be sure to publicize it very LOUDLY.
In the meantime they are part of the enemy within IMO.

Don't bother. Hallmark will only ignore. They have a pro-democrat, pro-gun control agenda. Boycott and let the local dealers know of your boycott.

For what it's worth, I had already sent this to Hallmark before I found your address, so I re-sent it. By the way, I mean what I say. I'm ready to get my kids together, and start picketing any store that carries Hallmark products. I believe Hallmark, as a consumer product company with many distributors for it's products, is particularly vulnerable to a boycott.
Please pass this to your media advertising folks at your Corporate Headquarters. I have heard in the news that Hallmark will be one of the key commercial supporters of the travesty that CBS intends to air called "The Reagans". From the script exerpts that have made it to the press, this production is (a) historically inaccurate, to the point of libel, and (b) was produced and created by a group of leftists who had a publically known political grudge against President Reagan. Regardless of what CBS or the show's producers may claim, this movie will be regarded by many as "historical fact", because after all, who could lie by putting words into a dying, invalid's mouth. They are quite obviously engaged in historical revisionism, i.e. they're lying about history to create it in their own perverted view. Who could maliciously malign a former President like this, a man on his death bed? Why didn't CBS put the movie on in 1991 or 1992 when Reagan could have responded. Why now?! How could Hallmark sponsor such garbage. I want you to understand in no uncertain terms that I intend to boycott Hallmark products, and to promote this boycott in internet forums, among family, friends, and anyone who cares about the truth about a great American who served his country well. I may even try to organize pickets of local Hallmark stores, or establishments who carry Hallmark products. I will be fighting Hallmark long after CBS has collected their fees, and moved on to something else, unless, of course, Hallmark cares to drop support for the movie. It cannot be fixed; it's as corrupt as those who wrote, directed, produced, and acted in it. < name, address, etc >

I emailed them and told them my Hallmark card buying days are over, and thankfully, there's a lot of healthy competition out there, so they won't be missed by me at all.

Great letter to Hallmark! We need to keep this going and keep after the sponsors. CBS is buckling right now and we need to keep the heat on the whole bunch! Force them to sell to Showtime and then go after Showtime, as well.

Interesting that Hallmark would sponser this. This is an affront to the Christians and all who supported Reagan. Also interesting that Hallmark owns DAYSPRING in Arkansas who is the largest supplier of Christian Greeting Cards in the US.
To: Rightone
Great letter to Hallmark! The note they returned tried to distinguish between themselves and their entertainment division. As far as I know, they're owned by the same parent Corporation.
They must have a Clinton-ian class spinner under their employ. No matter. Hallmark is garbage.

Haha! No sooner did I post the above msg to keep the heat on CBS, that they dropped and sold to Showtime because of our pressure. Along with letting Hallmark know your feelings, let Showtime know, too! Here is the link.

Just sent my comments:
Be advised....if you want to broadcast misguided yellow journalistic programming then go ahead and show the mini-series "The Regan's" but be advised, there will be repercussions. The "silent majority" already had the show chased from the Tiffany Network and we WILL continue to fight or, fight back against those that falsely demean one of our nations greatest President's with nothing but liberal propaganda!
To: Rightone
Just like in your ads, Hallmark: I will turn the card lovingly over and look for the Hallmark label... If it's there, I WON'T BUY THE CARD.
