Thanks for the new thread ping rb. I'm going to go back and read the LKL transcrips that I posted last and see if I missed anything.

Thanks, rb. I missed most of yesterday's news about the preliminary hearing, so these articles gave me a good synopsis of the 'doings' that happened!

There seem to be some who search through the hundreds of new articles every day for that
one article that they won't like. They must think to themselves something along the lines of "By garsh, I really hate this topic, I think I'll just click on it and complain, because FR should only allow articles I like." Either that, or "I really hate this topic. I just love forcing myself to read something I hate. It just makes my day."
Not sure which. But I see it a lot.

Thanks for the ping RB.
I hope they get to some other witnesses today.
About Amy testifying on the clothes Laci was wearing on the 23rd, do you all remember this?
According to Amy, Laci was wearing a black-colored top with cream either flowers or polka dots on it, cream-colored pants, a black coat, and cream scarf.
Article in People Magizine
Of potentially far greater significance, however, is the condition of the two sets of remains. The photos viewed by PEOPLE of Laci's and Conner's bodies are horrific, but disturbing in very different ways. As reported initially, Laci's body was little more than a torso. She was found with shreds of what appeared to be light-colored maternity pants Scott said on the morning she disappeared she was wearing black pants which had gray duct tape wrapped around the outside of the crotch area, tape that some experts believe could have been used to bind her. Given the condition of the body, no cause of death could be determined.

Wow, that's right clouda! She may heve been found in the light colored pants that she had on the day before...not the black ones that Snott claimed she had on and the "dog walking sighting" witnesses the Defence has. I think we will know what she had on as soon as Amy testifies, I hope it will be before the weekend, or it'll drive me nuts wondering!

Good grief....if a subject doesn't interest me, why take the time to click on the subject..and post a reply..to let all know you don't like the topic!
I think too, some people had their pacifiers taken away too soon, or were not allowed to suck their thumbs, so they just naturally 'suck'.

Found this report on websleuths.com and had to share it with you all. ROFL!!
http://websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?s=10c7b0344dcd178c4358303c8e257716&threadid=1849 This morning local Station KTVU's Ted Rowlands is reading excerpts from letter's Scott has written to (I believe his parents) while in jail.
He says that he first heard that Laci and Connor were dead and that the bodies discovered where theirs when the arresting officers told him. He says that he did not believe them until he read it in the next mornings paper. He says that while in jail he is not able to grieve them, that he does not want anyone to see his tears so he buries his head in a blanket to cry.
He complains about the food and says that he has to ration his commisary bag of chips and stuff to get by. And that he feels like a contestant on "Survivor" and wishes that "someone would vote him off of this island".
He says that he waits and longs to be able to take a shower because he can make it last and be out in an area that is 8'x20' instead of his small cell.
He says that he thought of Laci on her birthday and wished in tears that he could hold her and Connor.

Oh, poor baby; he can't cry in jail-why? Fear of someone beatin' the cr-- out of him, in an attempt to remind him HE's the reason they're gone? (Unabashed opinion of uvular off)
Couldn't make it through last night's 400 plus postings to see if this has been mentioned yet, but TV Guide on-line is saying USA network has hired Dean Cain (TV Superman) to portray Scott Peterson in their upcoming docudrama, The Perfect Husband. No note of when this will be on.

My first thought was that he was making excuses for his lack of emotion, tears over the murders of his wife and child.
I saw the info about Dean also...I think Dean is too handsome to play Scott, will be interesting to see him play the bad guy for a switch.

I don't think the defendant is allowed to wear anything symbolic other that a sign of his faith, wedding ring. I noticed a few pics of Snott with the ring on when he is arrested and when he was lead into the courtroom at his arreignment. No ring in the pics with Amber! That would bug me if I were a juror and I had noticed that fact, and he was sitting across the courtroom from me and he had it on.

KTVU Exclusive: Peterson Letters Reveal Tears And Loss
http://www.ktvu.com/news/2595311/detail.html POSTED: 7:32 AM PST October 30, 2003
UPDATED: 8:23 AM PST October 30, 2003
MODESTO, Calif. -- In jailhouse letters to a friend written in pencil on a simple yellow legal pad, accused double killer Scott Peterson has revealed a world filled with tears and lost
In one, he wrote: "At night, I have my head buried in a blanket, I don't want the other inmates to see the tears."
Peterson entered the second day of his preliminary hearing Thursday in a Modesto courtroom where his family sits in support in the front rows on one side of the aisle while the family of his slain wife, Laci, sit on the other. He has been charged with Laci's Christmas Eve murder and that of the couple's unborn son, Conner, and faces the death penalty if found guilty.
Since his April arrest, Peterson has been held in the Stanislaus County Jail, in a solitary cell without the possibility of bail. His celebrity status has forced officials to isolate him from the other prisoners for his safety. In a series of letters, exclusively reported by KTVU's Ted Rowlands on Thursday, Peterson has revealed to an unidentified friend his thoughts as the hours have slowly rolled by.
Peterson said he was told that his wife and son's bodies had been positively identified while he sat in the back of a police car as he was being transported back to Modesto after his arrest in San Diego. The partial remains of Laci Peterson and those of the couple's unborn son had been discovered days earlier by dog walkers along the shore of the San Francisco Bay in Richmond. At the time, Scott Peterson was staying in his boyhood home of San Diego.
"I was told that they were gone on the car ride to Modesto by the detectives," he wrote. "I didn't believe...wouldn't believe them. I only knew it was true on the next morning when I saw the paper."
Peterson said he had a hard time dealing with the loss in his small jail cell.
"I am finding it so difficult to grieve for them here," he wrote. "At night, I have my head buried in a blanket, I don't want the other inmates to see the tears."
It was especially hard in the early hours of what would have been Laci's birthday.
"I woke up early today to a crashing cell door, I figured it must be after midnight and therefore Laci's birthday," he wrote. "I lay in this bunk dreaming about her, being able to hold her and Conner. As the morning went on, all I could do was lay here in tears."
As for life in jail, Peterson said the highlight of his day is his shower.
"The highlight of the day was the shower, you get to move around a room that is 8-feet-by-20-feet without chains on. I try to spend as much time there as possible."
He also said he hated the jailhouse food.
"They just brought dinner," he wrote. "It's a green 'liquid' with I think some tiny carrot chunks in it. I think I will have to resort to the commissary bag. I have been hoarding it, rationing it, like I am on 'Survivor.' Please vote me off this island."
For much of Wednesday inside a packed courtroom, FBI lab supervisor Constance Fisher testified about the controversial method of DNA analysis she specializes in that can show a genetic match between a mother and child.
She testified that a one-inch strand of hair found on pliers in the boat did not match Scott Peterson, but did match a swab of DNA taken from the mouth of his mother-in-law, Sharon Rocha.

Yes, I remember.
You know, I'm sure the Peterson's did care deeply for Laci. Hopefully, when that "Oh my God moment" hits the Petersons, they'll continue to wear the ribbons and remember that this trial is about justice for Laci. Now that they've worn the ribbons, if they remove them at any point it would be telling.
