TERRI'S FIGHT
(Daily Thread 2 - October 30-31, 2003)
Link back to thread 1 - October 29, 2003

Contained in thread 1:

Summary of Terri's bone scan, transcript from "On the Record" response from Bobby Schindler and Attny. Pat Anderson to Michael Schiavo's appearance on Larry King Live, link to where to search public records for Pinellas County (for a fee), information on Terri's Lights, link to transcript from Larry King Live interview with Michael Schiavo and George Felos, synopsis of radio interview with Michael Schiavo's brother in Pennsylvania, summary of interview with Pat Anderson on Michael Reagan's show, portion of testimony from Schiavo medical malpractice trial, some links to information on the Florida death cult, names and email address for the Florida Supreme Court, information on previous GAL, Richard Pearse, Jr., information on GAL currently being proposed Jay Wolfson and links back to earlier threads on the case. Of course this overview isn't comprehensive, but my main point in this section is to provide easy reference to what could be important information. Also, links to other websites focusing on Terri's fight can be found in thread 1, here.

Thanks to everyone for your contributions and for your dedication to this fight.

This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.

FL_Engineer suggested that if you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.

>>They lived in an apartment. Were there stairs in the apartment?

I thought they might, given what Michael said to LK. But at this site http://www.thrownback.blogspot.com/ Terri's dad describes her as lying between bedroom and hallway, so I guess Michael was going "down" the hall. That begs another question. If he woke up and went out of the bedroom and down the hall to her, was she in a different bedroom than he was?
Not that this is going to matter in the long run. She had traumatic injuries and only Michael was there with her---and they'd been having marital trouble. That doesn't make it certain he hurt her, but it does make it obvious he shouldn't be guardian with the power to end her life on his say-so about her wishes.
And he won't say-so on a lie detector! Just when you think this thing couldn't stink more.

The insurance company is defunct and even if they were still around, insurance companies don't have to keep their claim records for more than about five years. Seems silly but that's how it is. They toss em.

"The rule of law is more important than the right to life in Janet's world."

Yeah, well maybe Janet ought to think about that a little more carefully. She may just fall down one too many times and be the next case file in Greer's court.

Per Larry King Live, MS heard a "thud", (knew it was her) and "went to get her". He just happened to be up at the same time that he heard the "thud". But, he had already gone to bed having come home from the restaurant he worked late at. No wonder he won't take a lie detector test and Felos jumped in "Twenty judges have already been the ultimate lie detector." Oh, really, Felos? And ya think that we hold them in high regard? Their word means nothing if they're affirming Judge Greer, the executioner (I mean, the guardianship Judge). I STILL CANNOT COME TO TERMS WITH THE FACT THAT GUARDIANSHIPS ARE TO PROTECT THE PERSON AND THE PROPERTY, NOT STARVE AND DEHYDRATE THEM TO DEATH.

And the Judge today is banking on Jeb's Executive Order being overturned. IS THE FIX IN? Pinellas County Judges make me ashamed to be from Tampa Bay.

"With Ken's passion for defending the sanctity of life and his proven legal talent, we can all be confident that Terri will be well-represented on her day in court."

IF he is given the opportunity to state his case! That seems to be a real problem in these Florida cases. The judges only allow in the information that THEY want to hear. Can't be having their rulings muddied up with facts.

As I understand it...the company jodi works (ed?) for is simply underwent a name change....that jerger remains part owner...could this dr jerger, who also has interest in mobile home insurance, be one and the same or a brother, whatever? The new name of the insurance company is listed here somewhere...and as for jodi..IF it is the jodi, who was an office manager for the jerger insurance and is now promoted to MEDICAL section....my gosh....if there were a link BETWEEN Jodi's boss and the doctor appointed by Felos, then this means Michael's mistress is connected to the doctor of her boyfriend's wife....the ONE they want killed.

Florida not having a state income tax may seem like a good deal but, there's not much money to investigate diddly-squat. That's why many issues end up in civil court and theose Judges rule against the parties who requested an investigation in the first place. It's a lose, lose proposition. The bad guys run Florida at the moment because it's cheaper for bureaucrats to look the other way.

IMO, something happened before the "thud". That's why Michael won't take a liar detector test. Maybe the thud was unexpected because he thought he'd already taken care of her? After the thud, he had to act like a good husband... But, not before.

It is very discouraging, I know, when you know the truth and you set out to inform others. My experience, in this case, has been that the people I talk to had no idea that they were being misled about what was actually wrong with Terri. On the other hand, it is very disheartening when you see that something is very wrong and that if the wrong isn't set right that there could be grave consequences, and you set out to right that wrong, thinking that if the people only knew the truth they would choose to do what is right, only to discover that they won't hear you. They ignore our voices at their own peril. When I become discouraged by the seemingly overwhelming odds against Terri and against those of us who have sought to be her voice against the forces that have come against her, I am reminded of this passage from Ezekial and I know that I am doing what I am supposed to do. I can do no less nor more, other than to put my faith in the One who is the defender of the innocent.
'If I bring a sword upon a land, and the people of the land take one man from among them and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows on the trumpet and warns the people, then he who hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, and a sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his {own} head. 'He heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning; his blood will be on himself. But had he taken warning, he would have delivered his life. 'But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman's hand.' (Exek. 33:2b-6)

George Greer - divorced three times. George Felos - divorced 2 or 3 times. I think Greer's first divorce was a messy one - that's how he became familiarized with non-custodial parents because he was one. I think his first ex-wife socked it to him good. I wonder if he's ordered any men to be starved-dehydrated to death. Probably only if the had a living will. They want to murder Terri because she had no living will. THE PERFECT CLIENT BECAUSE SHE CANNOT SPEAK.

Our very existence shouldn't hinge on a failure to put something in writing.

"My experience, in this case, has been that the people I talk to had no idea that they were being misled about what was actually wrong with Terri"

You can say that again. I was talking w/a friend in the grocery store parking lot and this subject came up. She only knew what she'd heard on the alphabet soup networks. She thought Terri had a heart attack, was in a coma and brain dead and thus figured her parents were just having a hard time letting go. Once I told her some background and Terri's actual condition, she was aghast that the media would lie and distort this woman's condition so. I have replayed this scene over and over again with other friends as well. The deliberate misinformation that the major media is putting out is, in my opinion, nothing short of accomplices to murder.

Woodworth was also a bureaucrat. He probably knew Attorney Felos and when he was done using Terri as a pawn, handed her over to Felos.

" I have replayed this scene over and over again with other friends as well."

As have I, and I have yet to see one person who didn't do a complete turn around given a few more of the facts. You're right about the media. They are contemptible.

How did he happen to know that he needed to "go get her"? Most people who hear someone in the house usually first yell out "Are you okay, Terri?", etc. But, he knew she was at point B after he heard a thud. Did he cause her to get to point B? He was awfully certain of the need to go get her and that she was at point B but why didn't he yell out "Terri? Are you allright?"

Because he knew she wasn't allright? That was the key part of the LKL interview IMO. HOW DID HE KNOW THE THUD WAS TERRI? This also disturbs me.

Terri's new doctor is a Stan Tropodis, or something like that. Not Jerger to my knowledge. Either way, it is still troubling that if Tropodis does own a mobile home business, that's still tied closely to Michael's business partner, Richard Jerger, whom Jodi worked for. Jerger used to be in the mobile home insurance business. I don't know, this whole thing stinks to high heaven. I'm praying that the one investigating agency with clout (can't remember what the name was) will turn something up and SOON! I'm beginning to feel helpless again.

A lot of the numbers in your 248 could care less. Maybe the Internal Affairs number would prove useful. Demers seems like he's hoping for Jeb's Order and Terri's law to be overturned. Welcome to Pinellas County, death without due process. Death even if it's not your time.

I know I have mentioned this on another thread, but the controlling issue and using weight as a weapon really rings true here. When I was 20, I was in such a relationship. I was always very sensitive about my weight, but it was more in my mind than it was an actual problem. It seemed that anytime I would entertain thoughts of ending the relationship (which was often), he would hit me with such remarks about how I was so fat that nobody else would have me. At the time I weighed 99 pounds (I am 5'1"). I sometimes had to buy pants in the children's department...and yet, he had a real talent for getting me so down on myself that it took the attention off getting away from him, at least temporarily. One thing I can say is that any female who has ever made the mistake of getting involved with such a man and gotten out, can spot the type a mile away. Michael Schiavo is the type!

...and all of it based on nothing but conveniently "remembered" hearsay testimony of a person with questionable motives...

You know what? You pinned the thing in one sentence. I just spent too much time reading Felos' petition to the FSC from a couple of years ago, asking for a motion to stay Judge Quesada's order to replace Terri's tube. Felos is diabolically clever. He isn't interested in Terri Schindler, the human being. To him, PVS is just a convenient diagnosis to underpin his case, which is: Terri's "right-to-refuse" medical treatment (right-to-die) is being violated by the feeding tube. She would never want to "live like this" because Schiavo said so. This is the clear and convincing evidence needed to end a life? Hearsay testimony?

I read somewhere the strength of a people can be measured by how they treat the vulnerable and weak among them. If this court sanctioned murder of Terri Schindler really goes through, then what sort of people are we?
