This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.

Here's what the family wants us to do... Prayers for Terri and help with Public Awareness. Terri looks good today. Dutch television was at the Hospice today filming vigil attendees. They interviewed a woman who was in a coma but began communicating with a nurse and she was standing there for a twenty minute interview. They also interviewed another woman who comes to Hospice to support Terri on a regular basis. She happened to speak Dutch. In addition, Dutch TV asked us to act natural, like they weren't there. Well, how easy was that?

I ducked out instead of trying to be "next" for an interview to go to Walmart.

I returned this evening and there are now about six people holding a candlelight vigil for Terri. There have been two faith healers there this afternoon. New vigilers have shown up who are staying in hotels. All is calm.

When I find their business card, I'll put the url for the tv station on a Daily thread because it will be streaming on line this coming Tuesday or Wednesday. floriduh voter

If a company has publicly traded stock, then the people on the inside are not allowed to trade their stock using the knowledge they have because they are inside.

For example, if an insider knows that something is about to happen that will make the company more profitable, he is not allowed to go and buy up stock before the public announcement of the event, while the price is still low.

Conversely, if an insider knows that something bad is about to happen, he is not allowed to dump his stock before the public finds out about the problem and the price goes down.
That is what Martha Stewart got arrested for. I don't remember the precise details, but her friend Sam Waksal got word that the FDA was not going to approve some drug or process or something that Waksal's company owned, and which was supposed to be very profitable. He and his family dumped all their stock before the public could find out about the problem, and he supposedly gave Martha Stewart a heads up, and she sold hers. She avoided about $100,000 in losses by selling when she did, I think, but ended up jeopardizing a billion dollar company.

As to the company you're talking about, you'd first have to know if it is a publicly held company. Then you would have to know if the insiders did any stock trading before the event you're talking about.

I read the brief some time ago. The problem (only one?), in my layman's view, is that it omits any mention of Michael taking Terri to California for experimental treatment. That came as a big surprise to me. Some freepers believe that the treatment resulted in her fractures. It IS a distinct possibility.

I don't quite understand why the glossing over, or the grey areas. Could be I've missed something along the way.

Actually, as I think about the Martha Stewart thing, I'm note sure that her trades would violate the law, since she wasn't an insider, but got her information from an insider. As I think about it, I think her real legal problem is that she lied to investigators.

I took securities law, but have never practiced it, so I just understand broad concepts, not details.

Thank you for setting THAT straight! Did NOT go to a jury. That's what I thought from the beginning, but everything said it went to a malpractice jury. I'd like to find the clowns who posted that.

And off topic----but I sure as hell would like to know the name of the so called 'nurse' who accompanied him on the California trip. How did Terri get there? Was she able to sit in a plane seat? Were the Schindler's even told about the trip before it happened?

The 3 audio .mp3 files of Terri trying to converse with her father have been unavailable because the webpage exceeded its maximum bandwidth for the month. It would be great if you could get those and repost them...

These excellent questions have not been answered to my knowledge. I would imagine that he drove her in some kind of van, wouldn't you think? She could not have sat up in a plane seat. Just speculating

The so-called nurse....yeah, me too. Everything you said. Did th e Schindlers know? If so, did they agree with experiments on their daughter's brain?

Michael said Terri was in a coma for about 30 days, then opened her eyes. He also mentioned something about her limbs contorting, but I've forgotten when it began to happen. I presume it can be attributed to the experiment.

What a tragedy!

The limbs wither when the muscles are not used-ever. When MS stopped all therapy-he performed such an unkindness to Terri, to her body, that it just makes me feel ill inside.

He ordered NO THERAPY, and according to Nurse Carla Iyer's affidavit, which I understand Judge Greer ignored, when Carla merely placed a soft, balled wash cloth in terri's palm to help release and relax the her tightly curled fingers... and reduce the perspiration of her palms...MS hit the fan and ordered her to remove them, that doing such was THERAPY.

This man is a vampire.

That he has power, considering his actions in relation to money and hateful denial of anything wonderful for terri-gifts, flowers, muxic, being able to be out in the sunshine, therapy to keep her muscles from deteriorating, ANYTHING...JUST DAMN ANYTHING....and can get away with this...making life HELL for a girl already suffering.....no stimulation....is REPLUSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And as he hurts terri, trying to break her will to live for over ten years, AT LEAST, he may have been the one who caused this injury and he IS the one who stands to benefit from her death.

What is going on with terri is a TRAVESTY ...the justice system in Pinellas County Florida reads like a horror story. Doesn't sound like America.

Michael had the nurses afraid of him. He threatened them, horribly, and threatened with their very JOBS if they offered Terri any therapy or stimulation with FIRING!!! How did he have that power in a hospice? And how did he come to equate a wash cloth in a palm to sooth crumpled fingers THERAPY?

Seems to me, he considered comfort= to therapy.

Seems to me, terri suffering, and her family watching her suffer, as they were prevented from offering comfort, such as a ride for terri out into the sunshine, or gifts, etc., and therefore SUFFERING themselves...is a real thrill for MS. A power surge as it were.

Muscles atrophy from non-use. There's another reason for the drastically rigid contortions of her limbs. A stroke can cause fingers to clench.

Somewhere along the line, I've heard how many months of physical therapy it takes to re-build a muscle to its previous strength....one week of inactivity = four months exercise.

Don't quote me, I'm not sure. But it's a long time.
