Please remember that November is sweeps month. All channels connected with Showtime (I'm sure someone here can help with what they are) can be boycotted and it will effect the ratings of the main company. As soon as I find out, I will boycott the lot of them and let them know this as well.

This movie will find its way to the screen one way or another, even if its bootlegged. The liberals will never stop trying to smear Reagan because he was a successful and well liked conservative.
I won't hold my breath waiting for a movie on the Clintons to come out, they'd have to tell lies to make him look good.
To: RWR8189
I'm not so sure. If they show it the resulting smear ona guy who was the most popular US president won't go over well.

Here is a short list of Viacom channels.
CBS, UPN, MTV, TV-LAND, ShowTime, VH1, Comedy Central, Sundance, Noggin and Nickelodeon.
Please remember these in the boycott. I am blocking them on my Directv. I will now contact Directv and tell them this. Right after, I will contact Nickelodeon to inform them of my boycott of all Viacom stations. (losing Noggin will make my kids suffer)

All channels connected with Showtime (I'm sure someone here can help with what they are) can be boycotted and it will effect the ratings of the main company.Showtime doesn't care squat about ratings, only subscriptions. Showtime would gladly take the money whether anyone watched or not.
What is needed here is a storm of subscriber cancellation threats. I can't help.

Does Showtime have sponsers? (We don't have Showtime, so we don't know how it works).
If they have advertisers, let's target them!
No sponser support from the public = no show......right?

Zell Miller is correct....it will not be pleasing for most southern democrats to watch trash like this. Reagan was liked by most southerners...and it will simply drive a wedge between southern democrats and the rest of the party. Whichever dummy came up with the idea to trash the Reagans...has probably done more damage to the democratic party than they think.
To: libsrscum
I wouldn't sign up for Showtime as that might lead them to initially misinterpret it as a sign of support for showing the Reagan hit piece. Better for nobody to sign up at all and for them to lose millions of subscribers (if they even have that many).

How about the photo of the ACTOR AND ACTRESS that is displayed on Drudge? The ones portraying Ronnie and Nancy. We all knew the great President Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan and believe me...Brolin and Judy Davis don't even come CLOSE to looking or sounding like these two great people.
Brolin looks like a goofy dip and Judy looks hard and callus. I guess they just look like themselves. Ha,ha. They are probably wishing they had never even heard of this show. Serves them right.

Having "The Reagans" moved from CBS to Showtime is akin to moving an offensive thread from News/Activism to General Interest.

If I were Nancy Reagan I would go before the American audience and denouce this movie for the street trash it is.
I would speak directly to the American people on behalf of her husband who cannot speak for himself. That alone is a lower than low act on the part of anyone connected with this fiasco.
Nancy Reagan is frail herself but has stood by her husband because she loves him. She will be with him until the end. Dignified, Classy and a lady in every sense of the word.
These disgusting people evidently don't see anything wrong with lying (the script writer admitted that) and kicking an elderly man and woman, our former president and his wife ...yes folks, senior citizens who are in the twilight of their lives. This crowd doesn't even respect the very group they claim to want to protect. They like kicking people when they are down no matter their age or health.
I wonder how they can look at themselves in the mirror or how they can sleep at night. Or...how they can look into the eyes of others. Wow. I'm glad they are who they are and I am who I am. My upbringing was caring......

as a premium channel you pay extra to include showtime to your subscription/cable service.
You can cancel showtime that will not stop "the reagans" from appearing on the BBC or French television or German Television or Arab Television. Halmark is doing that.
To: Yaelle
how about no hallmark.

I just sent an e-mail to showtime informing them that I will drop all of their channels if they air this defamatory movie!

I don't pay much attention to what's on noggin - I'm more familiar with Nick.
As to the J&J deal....The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) is a big promoter of behavior control. They give major grants to groups that are promoting smoking bans, alcohol limitations, and gun control. They are also funding many of the groups that are pushing for these actions against the fast food industry.
The foundation is supported by it's huge stockholding in J&J, so any time you by a J&J product, even something as innocent as baby powder, you are contributing to organizations seeking to remove your rights.
