CBS CANCELS 'THE REAGANS'-- The CBS Suits Cave!..

Yes, hard as it is to believe, a major alphabet television network has bowed to the will of the American people. According to reports in media sources as diverse as The Hollywood Reporter, CNN and CNBC, CBS has cancelled the prime-time broadcast of its unflattering and politically-biased biopic of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
This is a doubly satisfying development since it (1) demonstrates just how effective the grassroots conservative network on the Internet is growing, and the ever-increasing impact of the conservative "people power" movement on the Web on daily events; and 2) It sends a message to the mainstream media that is is no longer "business as usual" when it comes to their unthinkingly viewing (and judging) political personalities and issues through a built-in liberal prism.
The Internet has empowered the American heartland. And now no longer will ordinary grassroots Americans tolerate having media depictions of the world arbitrarily mediated (and distorted) by an arrogant, unaccountable liberal media elite.
Let this be a warning to shot to the haughty Dan Rathers, Katie Courics and Peter Jennings of the world....

"I've got to go, Rock. It's all right. I'm not afraid. Some time, Rock, when the team is up against it, when things are wrong and the breaks are beating the boys, tell them to go in there with all they've got and win just one for the Gipper. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock. But I'll know about it, and I'll be happy,"
We got your back President Reagan!

Let this be a warning to shot to the haughty Dan Rathers, Katie Courics and Peter Jennings of the world.... I doubt this will cause them to blink, afterall they all have their multi-million dollar salaries. They could get fired tomorrow and still have millions.

The word about this smear movie spread through the Internet. Over a week ago Freepers were sending emails & calling sponsors!
This is another indication of the power of the Internet & the number of people FR can mobilize.

When a blow hard loses his job he goes on a speaker tour of the country easily tripling his former salary as a blow hard. The good thing for us is that they suck up liberal money that would otherwise be spent on voter bribery.

To: clintonbaiter
It hasn't been a good year for Babs, has it? First the aerial pics of her naked spread shown all over the Internet, then the war in a country she couldn't place on a map, and now it looks like the has been who has been crashing at her pad and occasionally on top of her is gonna be asking for lunch money again!

I just heard some liberal call up Sean Hannity saying that she can't understand why noone complained about an earlier show about Pocohantas, the cartoon character, since some of the data was historically inaccurate. That these 'sheeple' can't tell the difference between an honored man, who saved this country from Communism, and who's dying with his wife at his bedside, and a cartoon character tells it all.

Perfect comment. That gave me chills.

One question, if it was shown on Showtime, how would anyone know about it?
To: SouthCarolinaKit
Well, actually, Christians complain about the Disney Pocahontas all the time.
Pocahontas took the Christian name "Rebecca" and was baptized. Funny, that part wasn't in the movie.
To me, the larger part of this issue is historical revisionism. These movies enter the popular culture and become the "truth".
If it's a small factual difference, such as in Braveheart the battle for the bridge had no bridge because of budget constraints, that's one thing. But systematically it is one of the tools used by the elite to purge religion from public consciousness and history.

The reference is to the aerial photos of the California coastline recently published on the net by a conservationist. Bab's large beachfront property (i.e. the spread) was clearly shown from above. She complained and was taking legal action to stop the photos as a violation her privacy.

Wow. Your point about the lack of outrage about the questionable accuracy of a cartoon movie is well-said. I think we need to object whenever revisionist history is practiced by Hollywood, whether in a movie using live actors, or in a cartoon presentation of a real person's life.

****
It will be available on DVD and videotape forever for schoolteachers to use as 'history.'
Remember, it is the repetition of the lie that is important to the left.
Example: Many in America "Know" that Dan Quayle is an idiot because of an incident involving spelling the word potato.
Ten years from now there will be people who will see this 'mini-series' production and believe that Ronald Reagan was an insensitive, unintelligent, and foul-mouthed president.
Whether or not this show ever made it to CBS November sweeps, the anti-Reagan Streisand camp have been successful in their smear job just by getting the film produced.

The success of this CBS episode ought to stir conservatives to threaten boycotts of additional nauseatingly whiny liberal media outlets and their shamelessly noisome corporate sponsors.

Sorry, for your time, I was being sarcastic.

Thanks. I read it as if there was a comma between "naked" and "spread"
