The High Ground is about getting a clearer view through listening and talking back. Well focus on issues that matter to independent-thinking Minnesotans. Filtered through heavy doses of humor and satire, well leave no opinion unturned.
Its going to be challenging and its going to be fun. Join us!
First off, theres nothing holy about The High Ground. (Except maybe our zeal for irreverence.) But youll find this radio program a step above conservative-careening radio shows, self-proclaimed as alternative media.
Well cover a lot of ground, from politics to sports to greenhouse gas effects on rap lyrics. And youll hear from the most expert experts in Minnesotas political, sports and entertainment landscape.
Our host is a provocative, funny satirist (now legal in Minnesota). His 25 years as a comedian, writer and political pundit will keep even the driest politician from staying that way. And hes not afraid to proclaim the right-wingers right or leftists too far afield.
Weve got an agenda: to feed your need for fresh, independent opinion with a grin.
Join us for the freshest radio talk on the air.

Director of Public Relations
Janet Robert
Tough, caring and not afraid to use her fingernails on the community chalk board, Janet Robert is at the base camp, promoting the sheer beauty of the High Ground to independent-minded Minnesotans. She was lured to Minnesota by the music of Bob Dylan, cross country skiing and a failed real estate deal on Lake Wobegon. She's had an attitude ever since.
Now that her son Paul is off to St. John's University, Janet devotes her time to creating community based solutions to our problems.
When Janet served on the Oak Park Heights City Council, she initiated their first trail system. When she chaired the Washington County Corrections Board, she fought for restorative justice and aggressive intervention to prevent domestic violence. On the MnDOT's Stillwater Bridge Committee, she was an outspoken advocate for a sensible community based mediation process.
Janet prioritizes time for church and local charities. An honorary board member of the St. Croix Valley Life Care Center, she co-founded the Tri-Parish Mom's Group, Hope House of St. Croix Valley and the St. Croix Valley Christians in Action, the first faith-based Car Care repair program in the nation for families in need.
In her spare time, she is an avid dancer and accepts collect calls from her son.

First time I heard of 1330.
1330 used to be Minnesota Public Radio's News and Information station in Mpls/St. Paul, back before they bought 99.5.
It's still owned by MPR, but it's running an "all the news, every ten minutes" format. Despite being owned by MPR, it's a commercial station, accepting traditional advertising.
