I will email it to you on Thursday evening. I will then also post it but I suggest you do it two ways. By snail mail which will take forever to get there, but it will be an official record and by phone, asking for a letter reply to your question. This way you should get a letter in about a week. Anyone else want to get into this just say so.

I agree, come on Freepers, we can do better than this. This is for our children and grandchildren.

Private-life speeches are not grounds for impeachment. Nor are crappy decisions. If or when she writes a decision without referencing U.S. law or the Constitution, give me a ping. Til then, this is much ado about nothing.

The decision in Lawrence vs. Texas rendered by the Majority stated the following as part of their decision.
"Of even more importance, almost five years before Bowers was Decided the European Court of Human Rights considered a case with parallels to Bowers and to today's case.............The court held that the laws proscribing the conduct were invalid under the European Convention on Human Rights. Dudgeon v. United Kingdom, 45 Eur. Ct. H. R. (1981)."
This is placing European law over that of the Constitution and amounts to their excuse for overturning Bowers, an earlier Supreme Court decision, which upheld a law against sodomy.

Article II,
Section 4. The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
Civil officers includes Supreme Court justices.
Notice that it says "shall", not "can", be removed from office

Thanks for the info. I'm a little rusty on my Civics. What authority tries a SC Justice, I wonder? Has it ever been done?
To: afraidfortherepublic
House votes for Impeachment, Senate tries it.

ignorance is truly bliss. For all who argue religios history and the begining of this country, the magna carta is housed in the Supreme Court Building. As a justice, she has the intellect to encompass natural law which is the thread of our constitution. She does not rely on moral or religious dogma and our tainted history of the oppression of the Supreme Court, but seeks a deeper law that values our constitution in the most raw legal sense. Why is not anyone frightened to DEATH of the moral and religious backing of our executive and legislative branch, which is the most egregious violation of our constitition, deeply saddened?

That is a line of BS, if I ever heard of any.
